1. INTRODUCTION

This Transformer Container has been manufactured specifically for use

in the Aggreko rental fleet.

Aggreko Transformer Containers are designed to supply power

anywhere in the world within a wide range of operating environments
and are suitable for many different applications:

e.g.. • Construction
• Utilities
• Manufacturing
• Offshore
• Petrochemical Refineries
• Quarrying/Mining
• Defence
• Electrical/Mechanical Contractors
• Shipping
• Entertainment
• Food Production

Aggreko Transformer Containers are designed and built in-house to a

very high standard in order to perform reliably and withstand the rigours
of the rental market.

This User Manual has been prepared to assist in the operation of the
Transformer Container.

Maintenance, adjustments and repairs must only be undertaken by

personnel who are suitably qualified and authorised to do the work and
who have been properly trained.

Each Transformer Container of this type is uniquely identified by a Plant

Number and Serial Number indicated on the rating plate affixed to the
outside of the control panel. This information is required when ordering
spare parts.

2. SAFETY

"SAFETY MUST HAVE PRIORITY"

This Transformer Container has been designed to be safe when used in
the correct manner. However, responsibility for safety always rests with
the personnel using the equipment. The Transformer Container should
only be operated by personnel who have been properly authorised and
trained.

Prior to installing and operating the Transformer Container or carrying

out any maintenance or repair, personnel must read and understand
these instructions paying particular attention to all safety precautions and
warnings.

This Transformer Container must only be handled, installed and

operated in accordance with relevant national, local or Federal codes,
standards or other requirements.

3. INSTRUCTIONS

3.1. Equipment Data

The technical data defining the Transformer Container and the

limits on its operating environment are tabulated in the
Equipment Data Sheet.

A copy of the Equipment Data Sheet has been included in the

attachments to this manual. This includes and expands upon the
information that is provided on the rating plate affixed to the set.
A copy of the rating plate data has also been included in the
attachments.

3.2. Instruction for Installation and Use

Refer to the relevant supplier’s literature, included in the

attachments to this manual, for instructions relating to the use of
this equipment.

3.3 Handling Instructions

1. For weights and dimensions refer to the Equipment Data

Sheet and Outline Drawing (attachments).

2. Package may be lifted by the four corner castings on the top of the
container.

3. This Transformer is housed in a standard ISO 20’ x 8’ x 6’6”

container which has been certified by Lloyds Register to meet
CSC requirements for safety in loading.

4. All units are to be loaded flat on transport and properly

secured.

5. This container is classified “Not to be overstowed” and is only

suitable for shipping on deck or on top of stack.

3.4. Maintenance Instructions

Adjustments, service and repairs must only be undertaken by

personnel who are suitably qualified and authorised to do the
work and who have been properly trained.

Routine maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel

with appropriate tools and protection in accordance with the
instructions contained in the relevant equipment supplier’s
instruction manual.

Non routine maintenance operations must only be carried out by

authorised Aggreko personnel equipped with the appropriate
tools and protection and in possession of the relevant specialist
technical information i.e. component manufacturers instructions.

To assist with ordering spare parts and other service activities, a

shortform list of Component Manufacturers Data has been
included in the attachments.

4. ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS

In order to assist in the operation and maintenance of this Transformer

Container, a full set of electrical drawings has been included in the

5. HAZARDOUS AREAS

This Transformer Container has not been designed for use in Hazardous
Areas. No attempt must be made to operate in a hazardous area
without the express authority of Aggreko.
