SUBJECT: RULES & REGULATIONS FOR DISBURSEMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP & BOOK GRANT
 
Dear SAIKAT,
 
I would like to congratulate you on your selection as a "JBNSTS Junior Scholarship Awardee" for the year 2019. Please note that the following
rules and regulations for this scholarship :
 
1. The amount of the scholarship is Rs.1250/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred fifty only) per month for a period of 2 years during your
10+2 course. Annual book grant of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees two thousand five hundred only) will also be awarded for 2 years.
   
2. a) The Scholarship will be released on yearly basis. To get your scholarship, you have to submit your marksheet of Class XI and
    Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examination.
   
b) For getting scholarship, you are required to provide us the following details of your bank account:

Account Number :

MICR Code :

However, in case there is no account in your name presently, you must open an account in a nationalized bank or include your name in
your guardians' bank account.
   
c) Please note that any scholarship money or book grant which has not been claimed by you will not be made available for claim after
      3 years of your getting this scholarship. In that case the due amounts will be returned back to the respective fund. Therefore all
    the scholarships and book grants are to be claimed by you before March 2022.
   
3. No scholar may hold the JBNSTS scholarship together with any other academic scholarship.
   
4. Scholars are expected to maintain advanced academic standards, by achieving high level of performance in their selected discipline,
and also through cultivation of ability for independent study leading to self-development.
   
  You are required to obtain at least 60% marks in all examinations during this course. Otherwise, the scholarship will be discontinued.

   
  In case there is any year lag or shifting of school to any other state your scholarship will be discontinued.

   
5. Each Scholar is expected to follow the highest code of conduct and to behave in a manner that is becoming to his/her status and
prestige as a JBNSTS scholar.
   
6. All scholars are required to attend the activities organized by JBNSTS from time to time failing of which the scholarship is liable to be
terminated.
   
7. The Governing Body reserves the right to cancel the scholarship of a scholar without assigning any reasons whatsoever. The decision
of the Governing Body of JBNSTS about the continuance or otherwise of a scholarship will be final.
   
Please acknowledge receipt of this letter and intimate us whether you are willing to accept the scholarship under the terms and conditions
mentioned above. The acceptance letter (in the prescribed format) bearing your signature should be sent by post and by e-mail
(jbnstsexam@gmail.com).
 
In case we do not hear from you by December 15, 2019 we shall assume that you are not interested in the said scholarship.

You will get your certificate in the JBNSTS Annual Award Ceremony 2019, which is going to be held on December 21, 2019 at Derozio Hall,
Presidency University, Kolkata. Therefore, you are requested to present in that ceremony. Details of the program will be intimated to you in due
course of time.
