I think the most memorable event so far in my educational life has been the first day of high

school. I felt so many things changed so radically in a single day. Sure, the first day of school, the
first day of the first grade is also very memorable, but we are just simple children at that point,
there aren't many things that change so much in our life at that time. But high school is where
our slow transition into adulthood begins.

It was a cold, rainy, autumn day in September. The ceremony started early in the morning, all of
us gathered in the high school yard to witness the principal's speech. He mainly addressed the
first year students, who were new to this advanced form of an educational system. Although very
similar to gymnasium, you could tell that some things were going to be different even from that
first day. Getting ready for that day was a very long process. Ever since the end of summer was
close, I was already thinking about how that day would go down. I don't remember having so
many emotions and thoughts about the start of an academic year as I had on my first day of high
school.

Even though, technically, I wasn't yet ready for high school life, I somehow knew that this was
going to be a very different thing from what I was used to. I think we have all seen movies with
or about teenagers before entering high school, and they might have possibly influenced us and
gave us an idea about how it was going to be.

What exactly is global warming and how can we stop it? Global warming is a problem
caused by too much carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which
basically acts as a blanket, trapping heat and thus warming the planet. This makes the Earth's
surface become gradually hotter with each passing year, as we have seen a rise in average global
temperatures in the last decade.

Should we be really concerned with such an issue, considering the fact that it's not the first time
the climate has changed on this planet's lifetime? Well, yes. Because this sort of change
ultimately affects every creature's way of living on the planet. This time it's particularly different,
because the climate is being changed directly by human input. One of the biggest problems
global warming brings us is the rising of the sea level. This could result in the flooding of low
lying coastal areas and cities, such as Egypt, the Netherlands, and Bangladesh.

The heat wave and subsequent melting of the ice caps might not be the only problem. Another
dilemma cause by global warming is represented by changes in weather patterns. Many areas
around the globe, especially island-type locations might soon be experiencing hurricanes and
floods more often due to the rising sea levels...

Development can be a long and hard process, no matter what it's about. Whether we're
talking about human or technological development, there are several steps along our path to
developing certain traits, items and whatnot. When speaking about human development we can
think about three essential things: living a long and healthy life, acquiring knowledge and
having a decent standard of living.

Of course, these traits are only essential, but not limited. Humans also need freedoms, rights,
cooperation, education and others things in order to fully develop and become successful. When
a human doesn't have the right to speak freely and exchange ideas, their mind stagnates and
subconsciously forces itself to accept pre-existing notions about society and other subjects, and
thus we cannot say that their mind has developed. It's actually pretty creepy to think about
situations such as these.

On the other hand, if a human has all the necessities they need and profits off them in order to
become skilled and, overall, a better person, we can say that they have developed. If they are
helping others and building their path to success at the same time, we can assume that they have
become better than a large portion of humans in our society...

Essay about digital technology

It is no secret that we live in the digital age. The 21st century has brought us immense
technological advancements that have made life much easier and daily tasks much more
convenient and easy to undertake. Tech isn't a new thing, but the digital industry is fairly young.
Back in the 80s and 90s, technology was present, but it was mostly analog. What is the
difference between digital and analog?

To put it as simple and plain as one can, let's look at cable television. Do you remember the
classic tube televisions? Yes, the fat, heavy ones. Those only had the standard cable input and
eventually some RCA outputs intended for VCRs. All those cables carried though them analog
signal, much like cassette tapes. All it means is that they received or transmitted images and
audio signals directly though the cable, without the need of decoding it by any processor or
something similar.

Digital signal, on the other hand, is made out of binary code, meaning the ones and zeroes that
the CPU in a computer processes. Digital offers higher quality and the potential to be modified
or converted to certain file formats, but it does also require higher processing power. Try to fast-
forward a VHS tape and then try to fast-forward a DVD or a Blu-ray disc and you will see a
humongous difference. Not only is the fast forwarding process on digital clearer, but you can
also ...

Essay about travelling

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
Travelling should be any person's hobby when they have enough free time to indulge in this sort
of activity. Fortunately, the Earth is very large and there are all sorts of countries with diverse
culture that you may want to explore. There are a lot of landscapes and different landforms that
you can admire. Most times, even your own country may surprise you with such beauty that you
may want to explore before even planning on going somewhere else.

Some may object with the argument that traveling isn't cheap, though technically speaking the
act itself is free. It's the commodities that cost. If you're the adventurer type, you could always
try travelling by foot, though you will need to take large amounts of supplies with you on your
journey.
Fortunately, if you have the necessary money, you don't have to go through all the hassle of
getting to a destination by walking. One preferred, though expensive method of travelling
between countries is by airplane. But, as many can assure you, the cost is worth, as there is no
other feeling in the world much like it. Seeing all the..

Essay about fashion

“Fashion changes, but style endures.”

What is fashion more exactly? Is it just a trend that keeps on changing and adapting to fit
customer's needs or is it a form of art? Some might think it's both, while others may think it's a
total waste of time and money. Whichever side you are on, fashion's impact on looks and society
is not a thing to be ignored.

Ever since mankind discovered how to make clothing, people have been dressing in all sorts of
clothes with different styles and different materials fit for each season and weather type. While
this is true, not everyone had fancy clothes back in ancient times, or even medieval times for
that matter. Custom tailored suits were, and to a degree they still are, a sign of high class, of
richness and luxury.

Though only a small portion of the population had the opportunity to dress themselves in the
finest attire, you could say that fashion had already started even from those times, even if it was
not as self-aware as it is today. Now, we have an entire consumer culture regarding our
wardrobes. People are no longer satisfied with wearing simple yet efficient clothes. They want
the most bedazzling garments money can buy, but not just from anyone or anyplace. Today we
have tons of aspiring designers and brands that have left their mark on this industry.

Essay about nature

Nature is everything which surrounds us, that was not built by man. All the beautiful, fresh
flowers, all the blooming trees, the beautiful blue sky, the shining sun, the puffy clouds and all
the wonderful animals. Nature is our friend that offers us everything we need to live on this
planet, everything that we can admire and makes us happy.

Nothing feels quite like taking a walk through a dense forest on a Saturday. Walking on all the
unpaved paths, listening to the birds singing, taking in the fresh air which gives you energy and
fills you with joy, staying at a camp fire late in the night and then laying on the ground while
admiring the stars above. Nothing can beat that feeling.

The best part in hiking through the forest is when you do it with your friends. Simply exploring
the woods is wonderful, yet staying the night in a cabin or in a tent after extinguishing the camp
fire can soothe a person's nerves better than many other activities. And, as they say, “sharing is
caring”, so why not share these amazing experiences with the people you love? Amazing people,
plus a day or a night outdoors is a sure way both to have fun and to relax. Your batteries will
surely get fully ...
Humans have always been related to nature in several ways. It is true that nature isn't
always kind with us, but it is unintentional, because nature does not think, nature is just taking
its natural course. Humans have also treated nature unpleasantly from time to time, with the
difference being that humans have sometimes done this intentionally.

Humans constantly pollute the environment that gives us all the basic necessities to live. Trees
take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen, which humans desperately need, yet we cut down
trees and turn them into furniture and paper. Nature helps us create so many things that
represent an advantage for us without asking for anything in return. We take what we can from
nature without offering back something.

Unfortunately, our acts of polluting nature have caused great harm that could hurt us all one
day. Global warming is increasing at an alarming rate each year due to pollution and similar
factors. This will not only affect nature, but us humans as well, and it is our own doing. Driving
in cars, building factories and throwing garbage everywhere have slowly but steadily contributed
to the rise of the average global temperature...

Health and wellth

We all know that being healthy is important. I don't think anyone could disagree with such a
proverb. After all, if you want to take it literally, you certainly need to be healthy in order to
work and thus gain wealth. But the proverb isn't literal, it's metaphorical. It means that being in
good health is just as, if not more, valuable than wealth. If you're in good health, you have all
you need to function properly.

Health isn't something to be neglected, it's quite the opposite. Health should be the number one
priority for anyone. Health affects our everyday life, from the smallest to the biggest details. If
you have a certain disease or affliction, even mundane tasks might be comparable to climbing a
mountain, but if you keep in shape and stay away from diseases, you might just be able to climb
mountains as if it was nothing. You might say that health is wealth for this reason alone. To be
able to do something big effortlessly means that you are already wealthier than quite a few
people on the planet.
I am thankful for my health and I aim to keep it for as long as I can. Even the slightest health
afflictions, such as catching a cold, can be downright annoying. Unlike when you're sick, you
don't sneeze and your nose isn't running when you're in good health...

To find a job

Taking into consideration that high school is almost over, we must think about either going to
university, finding a job or do both at the same time. I'm personally thinking about taking a gap
year between finishing high school and enrolling into a university, partly because I want to see
how it is to manage on my own. Although there aren't many work options available for high
school graduates, I think that this experience ultimately helps you better understand life itself
and how our society and economic system functions.

My parents always worked hard in order to ensure that I get whatever I want and that they will
always satisfy my needs. Having a job means that I will be able to take care of myself from now
on and that I may eventually repay my mom and dad for all the support that they have offered
me throughout my life.

Seeing their child take care of himself will also make them proud, which will inevitably make me
happy. We may have had a few arguments throughout the years, but I will never forget the fact
that they stood by my side through good and bad, and there's nothing that would make me
happier than making them proud and offering back the support that they gave me throughout
the years...

Leadership is an important and difficult responsibility. Every great nation and organisation
have come to fruition because of great leaders who knew how to strategise, manage and organise
every possible aspect. The world would be nothing without great leaders, but as with all things,
there are also bad leaders who have made big mistakes throughout their lives, causing enormous
damage and losses within a nation or organisation.

What makes a great leader? Dedication to their work is a good starting point. Of course,
experience and planning matter a lot, but if someone is not dedicated and fully focused on their
work, then the results might not be as good as initially thought. Great leaders also take into
consideration those who they command. Rather than giving orders and just expecting others to
fulfil them without any help, they offer guidance and assurance in difficult situations.

As an example, teachers are leaders to their students. They educate us, give us tasks such as
homework or projects and give out advice whenever necessary……

Essay about nature's beauty

Nature is always full of wonder and things that need to be seen in real life in order to truly
appreciate their beauty. We tend to ignore going for a stroll through the woods far too often, as
the majority of people tend to migrate to urban areas. I'm not implying that cities aren't
beautiful, in fact I think it's marvellous that humans have created so many astounding beauties,
but I do consider that admiring the simple things in life is just as important, if not even crucial
in order to get a sense of our environment.

I think it's astounding how nature seems to die and then be reborn every year. The four seasons
could be considered a metaphor about human life. Spring is the beginning, as flowers and trees
flourish in their colourful beauty. Summer is the young adult, filled with energy and joy, while
autumn represents an old, dying entity. Winter itself could be compared to death, as trees have
already lost all of their leaves and their branches lie naked. But unlike humans, nature continues
its cycle effortlessly, for it is during spring time that it is reborn.

When I think of nature's beauty, I think of lush forests, immense mountains, beautiful
waterfalls, shining sunlight, pale moonlight, the numerous stars above us, all the different
flowers and trees and all the nourishments the land has to offer...

Essay about deforestation

Imagine Earth without forests and think about what effects that may have on the planet.
Deforestation is, at a basic level, just that: the disappearance of forests, or parts of forests from
the planet that we call home. How and why does it occur? Mainly, deforestation occurs because
of humans. We take for granted the natural resources we have, often forgetting to replenish
them. In more common terms, we cut down trees without planting others in their place.

I think most people already know the answer to why we cut down trees. The more complicated
question is “why don't we plant others in their place?” However you look at the situation, cutting
down trees is a somewhat necessary evil. We cut down trees in order to produce paper, which we
use for all sorts of different tasks. We cut them down because in certain places, people still need
to use wood for making a fire and keeping a decent temperature during winter, because not all
places have access to gas or electric heating. We cut down trees in order to build houses and
shelters and all sorts of other buildings.

Basically, cutting down trees is necessary in order to maintain a modern standard of living. But
what are the effects caused by deforestation? For a start, trees output the oxygen that we so
desperately need in order to survive...

Essay about Australia

Australia has the unique distinction of being both a continent and a country at the same time.
Although it's the smallest continent of them all, when it comes to country size, it's the sixth
largest on the planet. Although big enough to fit a large portion of the Earth's population, very
few of its coastal areas receive enough rainfall to support such an endeavour, thus it is quite
thinly populated as a result of this condition.

The largest group of Australian people live in two large cities, Sydney and Melbourne. The vast
interior is mainly desert or grassland and there are very few settlements. As a whole, the country
has a density of six people per square mile. This does however offer them such advantages as
having vast landscapes, bright sunshine throughout the year and a large number of unusual
animals that can be found nowhere else, such as kangaroos, platypuses, koalas and other breeds
of marsupials.

But when it comes to wildlife, Australia also has some of the most dangerous creatures
imaginable. All sorts of venomous snakes, huge spiders and crocodiles and other frightening
creatures live inside the outback. You might remember Steve Irwin, who hosted a show called
“Crocodile Hunter”. If you've seen any of his episodes, you've got a good idea of what creatures
lie in this country. You might have also noticed that their flag has a miniature British flag in the
upper ..

Discipline is necessary in every situation that people encounter during their lifetime.
Discipline is a sign of an educated mind and an individual who has managed to control all of
their emotions in favour of self-control. Even the most sought human right, which is freedom,
requires high levels of discipline, because freedom means to be able to do whatever you want as
long as you don't restrict or hurt others.

As with all forms of education, discipline should be first learned at home at a very young age.
Some might not agree, but I think that discipline is necessary in everything, even if it means to
set certain restrictions for ourselves. In school, for example, you cannot have a productive class
without discipline. If everyone was doing something entirely different instead of listening to the
teacher and paying attention to the lesson, the class would be a complete waste of time and we
would have gained absolutely no knowledge.

Similarly, if people aren't disciplined during a debate, then the debate can turn into an argument
and stray far off from an otherwise civil conversation from which we can view different
perspectives regarding certain topics...

Essay about how the first impression can be misleading

We know that judging others is wrong sometimes, especially when the assumptions we make are
based on things that we know very little of. There's no doubt that first impressions matter quite
a lot in any given situation, but they can also be very misleading. Not everything is as it seems,
especially beings as complex as humans are.
As hypocritical as it may be to judge someone based on their looks alone, we have to admit that
to a certain degree, we all do it. Even teachers tell us that judging people is bad, but still judge us
by the way we dress, for example, on the first day of classes. Judging people is inevitable, as it is
part of the very essence of human nature. Sure, you might say that you can get an idea from
what a person is like even from the first impression, but it can be very misleading, especially if
the person knows how to act accordingly and tell you what you want to hear.
In theory, observing a person's behaviour, their body language, their tone, their vocabulary and
other things can give us a good but possibly misleading first impression. A good speaker may
convince you that they're trustworthy, yet when it comes down to sharing important information
with them, you might find out that your secrets are now known by everyone in the vicinity….

Essay about money

“Money may not buy happiness, but I'd rather cry in a Jaguar than on a bus.”
It is no secret that money is an important issue for many people on the planet. Some may think
money makes you greedy or arrogant, while others think that having money is a sign of
intelligence and hard work. Both of those opinions are true to a certain extent.
Money comes in a variety of forms, or currencies to be exact. It is not necessarily an item itself,
as much as it represents a certain value. As we all know, most money isn't even printed on
paper, it's just numbers on computers. With that said, there are a variety of ways to store money,
both online and offline and there are also a number of unofficial currencies, such as bitcoin and
litecoin. But without getting too technical, at the end of the day, from an objective perspective,
money simply represents value.
From an ethical standpoint, being wealthy is fine as long as the resources have been gathered
fairly, as in hard work, innovation and intelligence. It is not, nor should it be, acceptable to earn
money through mischievous schemes such as stealing, lying, cheating or accepting bribes for
different favors. But why is money so important...
Homework is comprised of the task students have to do after school, at home. It is a classic
method used by teachers in order to further develop their pupils' skills even when they're done
with the curriculum for the day. But as we all know, almost nobody enjoys homework. It takes
away from your free time and if you're stuck at a certain point, there's no teacher around who
can help you, unless one of the members in your family are good at the subject you're trying to
solve.

Let's just face it, homework isn't fun. But it does, however, teach you how to handle things on
your own. Depending on what type of person you are, be it creative, or calculated, and on what
type of subject you're working on, doing your homework stimulates your brain and trains you
further. On the flipside, too much homework for lots of different subjects at the same time can
agglomerate the mind and make a person less productive than initially intended.

It's important to keep all your stuff organized, not just when it comes to homework, but for
others tasks as well. Sure, while in school, depending on your teachers, keeping things
straightened out might not be easy at all, but if you can keep your head cool there might still be a
chance. Don't waste your time...

Essay about globalization

Globalization's aim is to facilitate trade and migration throughout different countries. It aims to
do so by establishing certain international laws and deals which would then enact these goals.
However, not all aspects of globalization are necessarily good. Some of them may seem good on
paper, but can turn out as disastrous in practice.

There are several branches to this phenomenon: cultural globalization, economic globalization,
political globalization, military globalization and environmental globalization. The first three get
the most attention from academicians. How do these practices affect people overall? Let's
explore the both the good and the bad from each.

Economic globalization is the dream of any entrepreneur. It alleviates most of the taxes and
impediments required in order to sell or buy items from other countries, thus allowing a freer
trade than before. If you've ever bought something online from a different country, chances are
you already know how much of a pain...

Essay about an embarrassing moment

I think we have all experienced several embarrassing moments during our lifetime. There are no
exceptions, we all have our very own little awkward moments that make life unpleasant. The
trick to getting past such moments is to not lose focus and scoff them off or devise a strategy to
ensure that we can avoid them as many times as needed.

Being mostly introverted, I have a huge fear of speaking in public. I'd much rather spend a night
in a creepy, sleazy motel room than to be forced to partake in the act of public speaking.
Regardless, in school we are all forced to do this thing at least a few times a year, when
answering the teacher's question or when an oral exam is on its way. For me, the less people
there are in the room, the better. Formalities tend to make me feel nervous, especially when a
large group is involved.

Whenever I have to do this type of thing, I tend to stutter, my face turns red and I can barely
keep calm. However, I have moved on past most of these moments, because teachers are trained
to empathize with emotional people. But there were a few exceptions when the teacher's
remarks about my stuttering and lack of ability to focus have made me even more nervous than I
was initially. The most embarrassing moment of this type that I can clearly remember occurred
when I was in the 5th grade.

Our entire school held a sermon for Romania's National Day. The children who were good at
singing had to perform certain traditional songs from our country, while me and others were
practically forced to memorize poems and recite them in front of the entire school yard...

Somajul

Unemployment is a major issue in many countries around the globe. The causes can be
numerous and vary from region to region. Of course, like with any problem, there are several
possible solutions meant to resolve this issue. The first major problem that obstructs people
from getting a job is the lack of skills that are valuable on the labour market.

People often seek jobs as soon as they leave high school, without taking into consideration the
fact that high school barely qualifies people for low paying jobs at best. Even some faculties are
guilty of this, as the skills that they teach people, although valuable from some perspectives, are
worthless when it comes to getting a job. This brings us to yet another issue which is similar to
the first.

There are too many people that go to universities, seeking jobs in domains that are too heavily
crowded. Statistics show that in our country, the journalism industry is full, yet students go to
journalism faculties, thus creating even more jobless graduates, while faculties such as
chemistry, engineering and other similar domains are almost empty, even though the labour
market in those sectors needs more skilled people to employ. Of course, this is due to the fact
that those faculties are hard and necessitate a lot of work...

Logic will get you from A to Z; imagination will get you everywhere.”
Imagination is the core of all creativity and knowledge. What would the world be if people
wouldn't use their imagination? It would certainly be a lot more boring. Ever since we are
children, we use imagination to make up different scenarios, think about the future, come up
with ideas and escape reality.

Imagination cannot be touched, it is unreal, it is all in our head. But it is so good to be able to
imagine things, even events of stuff that isn't possible in real life. Just think about all the books,
movies and games that were created by people's imagination. Life with be boring without it,
that's for certain. The good thing about imagination is that it's not just an escape from reality,
but it can also be useful to us.

You may want to approach someone regarding the problem. In this case, use your imagination
to figure out all the possibilities and plan out the conversation accordingly...
Essay about family

“The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and
privilege.”

From the moment we are born, we are surrounded by the people who are closest to us - family.
We learn to walk and talk because of them, as they closely watch over us while we grow up. We
get our basic education from them: how to act in society, how to communicate with others, what
it means to be a good person and how to analyze our surroundings and avoid danger.

Whether it's our parents, our brothers and sisters, our grandparents, our uncles and aunts or
simply distant relatives, we can learn something new from each individual in our family. The
family's role in a person's life is to assure all their basic necessities, whilst not ignoring their
education.

A family should be made up of people who you can trust and count on. We cannot ignore all the
news about parents beating up and abusing their children, but even in those cases, they are the
people closest...

Essay about books

“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”

Why is it that books get scoffed at by so many teenagers? Books are a great way to train
someone's mind and their imagination. Although a great story can be told through other
mediums, such as movies, theater shows or even video games, books have the advantage of
letting a person use their imagination, as there are no visual elements. Feelings can thus be
transmitted more organic, without the inevitable interpretation when watching a purely visual
scene.

So, where lies the problem? What makes youths avoid books? I think it's all about obligation. In
most school systems, you have to read certain literary books for the language and literature
classes. That would not be a problem if people could choose and if they weren't restricted by
time. Reading should not be an obligation, it should be done, instead, as a means to recreate and
stimulate the brain. By making something obligatory, you automatically take away the fun value
out of it.

Imagine if you were forced to watch certain movies that weren't necessarily to your liking and
that you also had a deadline by which you have to watch said films. You'd start developing a
distaste for the medium. That's the problem with literature in the educational system. Children
are curious by ..
