Entering the world of entrepreneurship requires a lot of positive traits and characteristics to be
able to manage one’s business very well. An individual must possess characteristics such as being
innovative, self-motivated, persevering and passionate. These traits will help one to become a successful
entrepreneur.

Ghie Pangilinan of Tea Talk in Morong, Rizal taught us that taking risk is really important. Based
on her story she once failed in putting up a food business, but she was brave enough to try again. She
also showed that as an entrepreneur having sufficient knowledge about the business will help you
succeed. She attended seminars and programs that helped her gain significant information about her
milk tea business. Ghie was also very dedicated to serving her costumers with a consistent product by
making an effort to go back to Taiwan and attend trainings.

Vic Celso Vislenno of VJ Lomi in Laguna told us that being innovative is also one of the most
important traits an entrepreneur must keep in him or herself. He added malunggay to the noodles he
uses for his business to make it nutritious and a complete meal, and through this idea he showed what
innovation is.

Gina Otilla-Leynes of Super Mom’s Pizza shared her dedication and persistency. She never
stopped until she reached success through her business. Her story began from being a street vendor up
to being a full time mom and business woman.

I have learned that entrepreneurship really requires a lot of dedication and hard work to
succeed. Patience is also a must, it helps you really feel that you are a step closer to your goal.
