Why the Five-Minute Rule?
Parent/Teacher Conferences are designed so
teachers can share information about student
achievement at mid-quarter, and parents can share
knowledge that will be helpful to the teacher. We
regret that this exchange of information must
happen in five minutes or less but must insist that
issues requiring more time be scheduled later.
When serving the needs of 400-600 parents in three
hours we all must cooperate with the five-minute
rule. If a longer conference is helpful, please
arrange an appointment later. Thank You!
