Domestic Waste segregation using Deep Learning Algorithm

Objective:
In India waste disposal has been a major problem. The segregation of waste into biodegradable and non-
biodegradable waste is not being properly implemented in India. We have proposed a Domestic Waste
Segregator using deep learning algorithm which separate the plastic waste from other waste. These plastic
wastes can be recycled further, and the bio waste can be sent to a biogas plant for producing electricity. Our
system satisfies the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 11- Sustainable cities and communities and 15- Life
on land.
