ORDER

Sub section (1) of section 11 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country
Planning Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 35 of 1972) provides for the constitution of
local planning authority after the declaration of a local planning area under
section 10 of the said Act.

2. In the Government order first read above, the Government have

constituted the local planning authority for Nagercoil local planning area under
sub-section (1) of section 11 of the said Act, consisting of Chairman and Member
Secretary.

3. In the letter 2nd read above, the Commissioner of Town and Country
Planning has sent a proposal to Government for appointment of members for the
Nagercoil local planning authority under section 11 (3) (b) (ii) and 11 (3) (c) of
the said Act.

4. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (ii) of clause (b) of

sub-section (3) of section 11 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act,
1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 35 of 1972), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints
the following persons as members of the Nagercoil local planning authority,
namely:-

1. Tr. R. Veerabathirapillai,
President, Theroor Town Panchayat.

2. Tmt. R. Chidambara Devi,

President, Puthalam Town
Panchayat.

3. Tr. R. Ramakrishnan,
President, Rajamangalam
Panchayat.

4. Tmt. N. Pathmavathy,
President, Aralvaimozhi Town
Panchayat.

5. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section 3 of

section 11 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu
Act 35 of 1972), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the following
persons as members of the Nagercoil local planning authority Namely:-

1. Tr. K.T. Patchaimal, M.L.A.,

Hon’ble Minister for Forest,
Nagercoil.

2. Tr. Bala Janathipathy, B.Sc., B.L.,

Government Advocate,
Swamithoppu (PO),
Kanyakumari.
