Whenever you are interviewing for a position the question of benefits will
most definitely be addressed. Will you get a paid vacation, and how long? Is
there any health or other insurance benefits? How much will your salary
be? All of these are valid questions to ask your prospective employer, and
within reason, you should have certain expectations regarding these
benefits for the services you render for their company.
But what about the benefits of walking with God? Can you expect certain
benefits because you walk with God? Should you expect any benefits from
God?
And the answer is an overwhelming, "YES YOU CAN and YES YOU SHOULD!"
When you read through Psalms and Proverbs, you'll find some pretty good
incentives to keep you on the straight and narrow path. You will be amazed
at the benefits package that comes with walking with God.

PROTECTION
Those who walk with God in integrity and truth can be assured of
God's protection from the enemy and His sweet redemption (Psalm 26:1-
12).
If you seek God's precepts, you will walk in liberty (Psalm 119:45)! Of
course, it is understood that if you're this adamant about seeking His
precepts, you'll abide by them as well.
When you go through troubling times, God will revive you and smite your
enemies saving you by His right hand, and He will fulfill His purpose through
you (Psalm 138:7-8)!
Those who walk wisely and uprightly with God will be delivered (Proverbs
28:26) and saved (Proverbs 28:18).

PROVISION
I once held in my hand a company credit card that had no limit to how
much could be charged on it. I did not use it, but I did entertain the
thought of putting it to the test. We are surrounded by limitations all
around us. We are limited by gravity, time, and physical endurance.
These, and more, keep us somewhat constrained. However, if you walk
uprightly, God will not withhold any good thing from you (Psalm 84:10-
12). He has no limits to His goodness and you can put Him to the test.
What good thing do you need from Him today? If you walk uprightly, it is
yours already!
You see, God is not only our best friend, He is our Heavenly
Father. Like any good parent, He provides for us and He protects
us. He knows what is best for us. Often He sends us what we
really need—even if it’s not what we think we want. No matter
what His answer is, we can trust Him completely. He will always
give us His very best (Matthew 7:11).
But, I've saved the best benefit for last. If you walk with God in your
integrity, your children will be blessed after you(Proverbs 20:7)! You
are wise to have some sort of life insurance policy, but you are wiser
to walk in your integrity with God, ensuring that your children will be
blessed after you!
So, now that our interview is over, would you like the job? All you have
to do is walk with God daily. Those who choose to sign up are ensured
that God will watch over them (Psalm 101:6). These are the ones who
God considers faithful and perfect, and who truly serve Him. It is to
these that He gives His daily benefits (Psalm 68:19).

Learning to walk with God takes time. There is always something
more to learn. Something new to discover. It’s a process, and a
journey. It takes faith and not feelings. It takes commitment and
