BASIC JOB STEPS POTENTIAL HAZARDS RECOMMENDATIONS

8. Back hoe converted to Hydraulic hammer 8.1 Hand injury due to installation of hydraulic 8.1.1 Use of Working Gloves

10. Cutting of Side Walls 10.1. Collapse of side walls 10.1.1 All personnel to be clear of the area while
demolishion of the walls are in progress
10.1.2 Barricades and warning signs to be erected to
keep all unauthorized personnel out of the area
10.1.3 Designated spotter, banks-man for the area is
necessary

11. Mobilize tools and equipment to worksite 11.1 Traffic and pedestrians 11.1.1. Audible reversing alarms shall be installed on
equipment/vehicles
11.1.2.
11.1.3. All traffic rules and signs should be followed (on site
speed limit is 25-km/h)
11.1.4. Only approved routes shall be used for access to
and egress from the site
11.1.5. The drivers shall be made aware of the approved
routes
11.1.6. Trained banks-men with high-visibility vests shall
accompany the work activities
11.2 Overturning of vehicle / Crash injuries 11.2.1. All drivers shall have valid driving licenses, all
operators shall have 3rd party certifications
11.2.2. The areas where heavy equipment are working
shall be clearly marked on site
11.2.3. Safe access shall be maintained at site for vehicles
and equipment
11.2.4. Use of seatbelts shall be mandatory at all times

12. Loading, transportation(use of Loader and Truck) 12.1. Material falling from trucks 12.1.1. All materials on the trucks should be effectively
secured during transportation
12.1.2. Operators and Supervisor shall ensure that the
vehicle is not overloaded
12.1.3. All trucks shall be equipped with covering canvas
with ropes for easy (un)covering
12.1.4 All demolished materials will be transported to
designated areas as per Local Authority requirements .

12.2. Speeding 12.2.1. Operators shall be made aware of traffic rules and
regulations; penalty system shall be implemented if
required

12.3. Operator struck by the bucket (loader) 12.3.1. Truck driver shall leave his vehicle and stand at a
safe distance during loading

13. Housekeeping 13.1 Falling Objects, tripping hazards, skin 13.1.1 Use mobile crane to lift heavy objects
