BPS Role to Disaster Risk Management

BPS-Statistics Indonesia, collaborates with Disaster

Management Agency of Indonesia (BNPB) in sharing
statistical information focused on geographic
information, employment, education, health, food
security, water and sanitation. With the availability of
data to the smallest level, it is expected to provide the
existence of regional variations, variations of potential
disasters, and variations in the potential of affected
people.

This graph indicates that the impact of natural disasters on humans depends
on many factors including the types of Hazard (location, duration,
scale/magnitude), the exposure to environment and human, and the
vulnerability of the population.
