KHEL 2020
KHEL 20 has been a magnum opus NATIONAL LEVEL sports event in SRMIST
Campus witnessing the participation of over 15 illustrious institutions last year.
We are emboldened in our vision to further our dreams and elevate the set
standards. The new edition of KHEL promises to be a conglomeration of young
inquisitive SPORTSPERSON from different colleges/schools across the cities
ready to sweat it out and compete in various sports events. Sports build good
habits, confidence and discipline. They make players into community leaders
and teach them how to strive for a goal, handle mistakes and cherish growth
opportunities.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 8th edition of KHEL this year.

SRM IST
SRM Institute of Science & Technology (Formally SRM University) is one of the

RULES ENTRY FEES : 2400 INR PER TEAM

Minimum and maximum number of players

is 8-12 for both boys and girls.
All the playing rules will be according to
FIBA.
The referee's decision will be final.
The teams are required to report 30 mins
before given time.
Each team shall submit their COLLEGE IDs
not exceeding twelve who may participate
in the tournament. Not more than 12
certificates will be provided to the team.
Walkovers will be given to the team if the
opposing team fails to report at the ground
15 mins prior to the given time.
If a player is found to be fake, the whole
team will be disqualified without baby

RULES ENTRY FEES : 3000 INR PER TEAM

Matches shall be played according to ICC rules in force.

All matches shall be conducted in a knock out basis and each side
is allowed to complete 15 Overs and is limited to 65 mins.
The semifinals and finals will be a completed over a 20 over match
is limited to 80 mins.
No spike shoes to be allowed by the player.
If there is a tie. SUPER OVER will be played.
The umpires are empowered to rearrange number of overs by
each side in the event of a delayed start or if play is suspended.
Each team shall submit their COLLEGE IDs not exceeding sixteen
who may participate in the tournament. Not more than 16
certificates will be provided to the team.
If a player is found to be fake, the whole team will be disqualified
without any return of the registration money.
No team shall argue with the referees, their decision will be final.
Walkovers will be given to the team if the opposing team fails to
report at the ground 15 mins prior to the given time.

Referee's decision is final.
Other rules regarding the match will be told on the field.
All players are to honor the game rules.
Team should report 30 mins before the start of the play.
Each team shall submit their COLLEGE IDs not exceeding sixteen
who may participate in the tournament. Not more than 16
certificates will be provided to the team.
Walkovers will be given to the team if the opposing team fails to
report at the ground 15 mins prior to the given time.

TABLE TENNIS

ENTRY FEES : 200 INR PER HEAD

RULES 1200 INR PER TEAM

It will be a team event. Each team will consist of a minimum of 3 and

maximum 4 players.
Ping pong is played over a pre - agreed number of games and the first to 11
points wins each game.
The toss of a coin or another form of lot-drawing determines which of the
player shall serve first.
Semifinals would be best of 5 matches and all other matches would be best of
3
Each table tennis player serves twice in turn and serve must be from an open
palm, the ball tossed six inches then struck so it bounces on the service sides,
clears the net, then bounces on the receiver's side.
Points are decided as described above and games must be won by two clear
points. At 10-10 each players serve only once, in turn, until a player establishes
a two-point kead and wins the game.
After each game the player rotate both the end of table from which they are
playing as well as who serves and receives the ball first.
In the deciding game of a match the players swap ends after either player
reach five points.

RULES ENTRY FEES : 200 INR PER HEAD

We are organizing two events:

1) 100 m
2) 4 x 100 m Relay
Spikes are allowed. T-shirt and shorts are must.
Any type of cheating will be suspended there by the committee.
Referee's decision is final.
400 m relay consist of 4 players.
All the rules off Indian Federation would be followed.
Once the competition has begun, competitors are not permitted to use the
runways or take-off areas for practice or warm up purposes, nor are they
permitted to use throwing sites for practice trials, with or without
implements.

The Track Shuttle Relay:

The 400 m shuttle relay will consist of 4 players from each team.
The team will run up and down the 100 m straight in a shuttle style. The baton
will be handed over to the next person round an upright pole.
The receiving runner will be standing waiting to receive the baton with their
arm round the back of the pole.
The incoming runner will put the baton into their hand and the runner will
then take the baton round the back of the pole before running on.

The matches will be of three sets (25 each).
Final match will be of 3 sets.
Decision of referee will be final.
Rotation play is allowed.
Each team shall submit their COLLEGE IDs not exceeding twelve
who may participate in the tournament. Not more than 12
certificates will be provided to the team.
If a player is found to be fake, the whole team will be disqualified
without any return of the registration money.
Walkovers will be given to the team if the opposing team fails to
report at the ground 15 mins prior to the given time.

Back hand is allowed.
Rules by Indian Carrom Federation would be followed.

RULES ENTRY FEES : 100 INR PER HEAD

Only individual participation is allowed.
Each match would be for 15-15 minutes.
No. of matches will depend upon the participation
number.
Players can bring their own chess clocks.
Walkover time would be 10 mins.
Touch and move is mandatory.
The player must use the same hand for moving the pieces
and tapping the clock,
All the regular FIDE rules will be followed.
In case of any discrepancy, coordinator's decision is final.

If ball goes directly out of the boundary that player
gets out.
All basic cricket rules are to be followed.

RULES ENTRY FEES : 250 INR PER TEAM

Maximum no. of players in a team: 5.

The game has to be played on a flat grassy patch of land. A line referred to as a
center line is marked on the playing zone and the rope is placed in a manner
that its center mark should align the center marked on the ground. On either
sides of the rope at the distance of 4 m from the center line, 2 more marks
need to be made. This is the point where in the first member of each team will
stand.
There is a particular technique that needs to be applied while playing this
game, if not then there will be a foul which can call in for disqualifications. For
e.g. lowering your elbow below the knee level while pulling the rope is
considered to be a foul and is called ‘locking’.
Touching the ground for a long period consider foul.
Referee's decision is final.
