DAILY JOURNAL
Journal: Day 1 (Monday)
Monday It was our first day of duty for the 4th rotation in Aurora Health Center in
Tondo, Manila. Due to Ma’am Lachica need to direct to ezperanza health center to check
for the list of our names before proceed to tondo health center. We stayed first in school
which we did an individual health teaching for immunization. This activity helps me to be
more familiarize in the procedure that we will apply in the health center. While doing the
paper it showed that being vaccinated are so many benefits. This vaccination protects
children from disease especially now there is a case again of polio in Laguna. Last month
it was also declared of dengue epidemic. Vaccination is very important in our body. When
ma’am lachica came back. Our names are checked by the health workers we go to the
health center of tondo to have a courtesy call which we welcome by the head nurse of
tondo they’re very accommodating. Then we proceed to the aurora center due to it’s
already in the afternoon and the nurse and dr’s need to attend the meeting we just came
there to be familiar in the center. Ma’am lachicha also start to orient us to what will be
given to our patients and introduce the medical tools that we will used.

Day 2: (Tuesday)
The most prouductive day of our duty. At 8am we arrived at aurora health center
there’s a few patients waiting to vaccinate of their children while the others is to consult
to dr about their sick problem. This day made me feel I am a totally a registered nurse
because I did all the procedures that they do from admission, gave a medicines, filing and
vaccination. I have 5 vaccination for this day. 3 for Penta hib in baby and 2 flu for elderly.
This made me realize that when I was a child i’m just playing with my stethoscope toy
and a baby doll pretend as a doctor but now I applied it in a real baby/patient. This
exposures to the health center teach me not only how to inject the vaccine but also how
to deal with different personalities of people.
Day 3: (Monday)
This is our 3rd day of duty which this time we can easily did a procedure well of
each area that we assigned because we’re familiar what we will be doing. Despite of a
few patient we enjoyed and I learned again from this duty. I interviewed a patient who has
a lungs complication and inject to a TB patients. That is not my first time but this
experience will be may training grounds that I will apply if I am a official registered nurse.

Day 4: (Tuesday)
This is the last day of our duty. I am so thankful for this opportunity for being
exposed to patients with different needs in terms of their health. It is a very fulfilling feeling
that you help other people. Just saying thank you with a smile from them I felt not tired
again. This day also will be our case presentation to indicate what the solution of the
possible problem of our client. I learned a lot in this duty even though it is just a 4 days
but those 4 days will never be forget this is one of the moment the I will cherish in my life
that I help other people. I would like also to say thank you to our beautiful and Kind clinical
instructor Ma’am Lachica who always guide us from Atang to Aurora, For the wisdom
words that motivates us to pursue our dreams. Despite of many patients she never lost
her smile, and of course her patience even though we did wrong she just say it is okay.
And of course to the Aurora health center for the very accommodating Dr.s and Nurses
and for being part of our training ground. This is one of the reason why I took nursing
because I want to share what I have now by helping them what their needs. I know
financially I cannot help them but only the care that will need.
