Objectives:
 Promote self care in people under their care.
 Communicate effectively.
 In order to supplement what we've learnt in the classroom with real-world experience.

During our stay at Isabela United Doctors Medical Center, we have demonstrated exceptional
effectiveness in this particular domain as a group. Considering that this is our very first visit to the hospital,
our clinical instructor, Ma'am Ernidel Nievera, provided us with an overview of the many aspects of the
facility. It was clear to me that this assignment would require a significant amount of work on my part
because it included a clinical health history, a pharmaceutical study, and a nursing care plan, all of which
were components. The process of gathering patient data may be a genuine disturbance, even if this is not
our first time doing it.

In the beginning, we gather information about the patients; at the moment, we are seeing one
patient for each of the participating physicians. The first thing that we do when we are gathering clinical
health history is to take their vital signs and then we conduct an interview with them. The first day that we
spent at IUDMC was quite exhausting.

Alexa and I help each other to take our patient’s vital signs, knowing that IUDMC is a private
hospital and we know that the admitted patients there are rich and capable. So our communicating skills
have decreased a bit because the past ones we were assigned to were all public hospitals. Eventhough we
have so many patients at CDH and GFNDY, it's still different when it's in a private hospital. But we still
gained the patient and nurse relationship since we talked to our patient and we also gained the trust of our
patient which is the most important thing. So, Alexa and I helped in taking vital signs and interviewing our
patients and after that we also improved our communicating skills a bit since we felt that we had built the
patient and nurse relationship.

The drugs that we needed were administered to us by our clinical instructor on the second day.
During the time that we were administering the drugs to our patients, we were also under supervision.
Additionally, we took their vital signs, which is a crucial fact to keep in mind. And also, on our second day
at IUDMC, our Clinical Instructor gave us IV Insertion. It was nervous because it was our first time doing
IV Insertion, but we had some group mates who had already tried GFNDY before, so we put them first.
While I was watching the first ones I was very nervous, but as time went on I got braver. And because I
was so excited, I didn't wipe my patient's hand with alcohol, so I repeated it, but I thanked God because I
shot my patient's vein with one shot.

My gratitude goes out to Ma'am Ernidel for giving us the opportunity to care our patients with
compassion and dignity, as well as for pushing us to the limits of our capabilities. Although I am aware that
public and private hospitals are distinct from one another, I am also aware that both types of hospitals work
hard to offer patients with the highest possible level of comprehensive medical care. In addition, I would
want to express my gratitude to the nurses who gave us assistance while we were working. I hope that by
the time we get back to IUDMC, I will have had some further opportunities to experience.
