A transparent government 19. A sound economy 20. A fair justice for all Fifteen presidents have passed and handled the country but, it seems like our country haven’t reached the top. And as of now, we are still a developing country that belongs to 3rd world countries. Majority agreed to Ronal Reagan’s statement that, “government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”. Government are expected to lead the community. Moreover, the relationship between the people and the government is a give-and-take relationship. But, do we deserve this kind of government? First of all, we need someone who will lead us to the best path and make sure that everyone can follow. But, is this the type of government we deserve? If we are ill and we need some financial help, we have to take care of the papers needed just to get a small amount of money from the government. They prioritize the fortunate and disregard the poor until they die. Instead of a government that reduces the gap between the people, the system is making things worse that makes it hard for the unfortunate to reach the success. We all want a nation that is united, calm and trustworthy. We want a night that we don’t have to worry if someone rains some bullets. Honestly, me, as a Filipino citizen, isn’t thankful for the kind of government service I am receiving. I am still a student but I am highly affected of the current situations. Just like the law that was implemented which is the TRAIN Law. I am not yet earning any money but I must have an amount of money that could afford my basic necessities. It is truly pitiful to see people working hard for just a small amount of money. We all deserve a government that works. Empty promises mean empty actions. We deserve a service that we paid for. We all deserve a better government.
