Case Background
The Art Query Result.xlsx workbook contains data that was extracted from a museum’s
database. The data lists down all paintings within the museum, its corresponding artist as well as its
location, condition, date acquired, category and appraised value. Utilize the PivotTable function from
Excel to analyze the aforementioned data and try to answer the following business questions:

Business Questions
1. Calculate the Mean, Standard Deviation, Median, Mode, Variance, Range, Minimum,
Maximum, Sum and Count of the Appraised Value of all Artworks in USD.
2. Calculate the average and as well as the total value and number of Artworks for each location
in the Museum. Which location is the most/least valuable?
3. Calculate the average and as well as the total value and number of Artworks for each Artist in
the Museum. Which Artist has the highest average value per painting?
4. Given the date acquired, what is the average age of the paintings in years per condition per
location today?
5. Get the distribution of data using frequency, relative frequency and percent frequency of
Artist, category and condition
6. Create the distribution of data using frequency, relative frequency and percent frequency for
date acquired every six (6) month and create histogram
7. Histograms for date acquiredshowing Distributions with Different Levels of Skewness
8. Compute using formulation and Excel function of Covariance for Appraised value and age
9. Calculate the correlation, is there a correlation between the average age and its condition?
