INDIVIDUAL PURCHASING SPECIFICATION

1 GENERAL
1.1 Scope
This specification covers the general requirements for the bid including basic design
conditions, issue and approval of documents, manufacturing, inspection, and transportation of
the Goods. The Appendix and Annexes attached hereto form an integral part of this
specification.

(1) Appendix 1 SCOPE OF WORKS


Project information, delivery conditions of goods and scope of purchase shall be as per
Appendix 1.

(2) Annex 2 The Specifications and Other Contractual Documents


The Technical Specifications, Project Specifications and codes/standards shall be as per
Annex 2.

(3) Annex 3 Documents to be submitted


Documents to be submitted by the Seller shall be as per Annex 3 in which the languages to be
used in the documents, the number of documents, and their issuance schedule at each activity
stage (at bidding stage, after contract, etc.) are prescribed.

(4) Annex 7 Inspection and Tests


Tests and inspections shall be carried out in accordance with Annex 7.
.

(5) Annexes 2, 3 and 7 are attached to this Individual Purchasing Specification at bidding stage,
but will be moved to be a part of the Special Terms and Conditions for Purchasing at Contract
stage either as they are or as revised based on the clarifications made before Contract. The
Contents page of the Special Terms and Conditions for Purchasing shows where Annexes 2, 3
and 7 will be positioned.

1.2 Clarifications and Questions
The Seller shall comply with the requirements contained in the Instruction to Bidders paragraph
7.11 and the following requirements.

If there are any discrepancies, within or between this specification, the relevant specifications
or documents, the Seller shall notify the Buyer of such discrepancies in writing and shall not
commence manufacturing before receiving clarification from the Buyer. The Buyer will apply
the order of precedence as specified in Annex 2.

Unless otherwise questioned by the Seller, the contents of this specification and all the related
documents shall be considered entirely understood and complied by the Seller.

1.3 The Seller’s Sub-contractors


Refer to THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING Clause 33.

1.4 Material supplied by the Buyer


Refer to THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING Clause 34.

1.5 Change of specifications


The Seller shall comply with requirements contained in THE GENERAL TERMS AND
CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING Clause 13 and the following requirement.
When changes in specification are required by the Seller, the Seller shall request in writing the
Buyer’s approval to these changes. Such changes in specification are not approved until the
Buyer has authorized them in writing. If the specification changes are indicated on an
APPROVAL DOCUMENT without clear notice, the changes shall not be considered as
approved even if the documents are approved.

1.6 Warranties
Refer to THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING Clause 15.

1.7 Confidentiality
The Seller shall comply with requirements contained in THE GENERAL TERMS AND
CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING Clause 25.

1.8 Validity of the Goods


If the goods supplied by the Seller will have term of validity, the Seller shall specify the goods,
term of validity and special requirement of storage in the Bid document. Certification specified
with date of manufacture and validated date shall be enclosed with the goods.

2 PROPOSAL

2.1 Bid documents and information required at bidding stage


In addition to the Bid documents and information required by the Instruction to Bidders, the bid
shall include all documents and information required by Annex 3.

2.2 Submission of documents after award of contract


The documents to be submitted after the award of the contract and their submission dates are
shown in Annex 3.

3 DESIGN CONDITIONS
The Goods shall be designed to comply with the following general conditions.

3.1 Applicable codes and standards


The latest versions of the codes and standards specified in Annex 2B shall be applied.

3.2 Site climate conditions and utilities conditions


As specified in TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS in Annex 2.

4 DOCUMENTS

4.1 Formats of documents


The size of documents to be submitted to the Buyer shall be selected from the ISO A series.
A1:841 X 594mm, A2:594 X 420mm, A3:420 X 297mm, A4:297 X 210mm
The Seller shall comply with any requests made the Buyer to use special formats on the
drawings including but not limited to the format of the title block.

4.2 Language to be used in documents


As specified in Annex 3.

4.3 Identification of Documents


All documents to be submitted by the Seller must be clearly identified with the following
identification.

Project Name
The Owner’s Name
The Buyer’s Purchase Order Number: Indicated in the TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
Material Name (Description) and Tag No.: Indicated in the TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

4.4 Documents after award of contract for approval
Documents issued for approval shall be submitted as specified in Annex 3.

(1) Status of Approval


Status of Approval for the work to proceed is as below.
All documents submitted to the Buyer will be returned to the Seller marked as follows:

(A) Proceed
(B) Proceed as noted, change as noted and resubmit as AS-BUILT
(C) Proceed as noted, change as noted and resubmit
(D) Do not proceed, change as noted and resubmit
(E) Received for Information Only
(Q) Rejected. Not suitable for review. Revise and re-submit for Comment/Review

(2) In case APPROVAL DOCUMENT is returned with comments with status (C), (D) or (Q), the
Seller shall submit revised approval documents within 7 days after their receipt of the
document returned. Revised parts shall be clearly marked.

(3) Notification to proceed does not constitute acceptance nor relieve Contractor/Seller of any
liability. Acceptance is only accomplished under the Terms of the Contract/Purchase Order.

4.5 As-Built Documents


The Seller shall provide FINAL drawings and documents if any changes attributable to the
Seller are found after delivery. When As-Built Documents are requested in Annex 3, the Seller
shall amend the relevant drawings and documents reflecting any changes attributable to the
Buyer within one month of being requested by the Buyer to amend the documents no matter
whether the request is made before and/or after commissioning of the plant.

5 QUALITY CONTROL, TEST AND INSPECTION


The Seller shall comply with requirements contained in THE GENERAL TERMS AND
CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASING Clauses 11 and 12 and as defined in Annex 2 following
requirements relevant to the subject.

6 MEETINGS AND MINUTES OF MEETING


(1) Whenever required, the Seller shall hold meetings with the Buyer.

(2) Minutes of Meetings (M.O.M.) shall be prepared by the Seller and submitted in 3 (three) copies
within 1(one) week after the meeting or by the date specified by the Buyer.

(3) The Buyer will review the M.O.M. If the M.O.M. are correct, then the attendee(s) at the meeting
shall sign one copy of the M.O.M. and return them to the Seller.

(4) If the Seller does not prepare the M.O.M. as described herein, then the Buyer’s understanding
of the discussed matters shall prevail.

(5) If so requested by the Buyer, the Seller shall attend a Kick-Off Meeting to be held at the Buyer’
s office soon after the award of the Contract.

7 PAINTING
For details of painting, refer to "Engineering Specification for Painting" in Annex 2.
Painting finishing and color can be the Seller’s standard as far as it meets the above
requirements unless specified otherwise.

8 RUST PREVENTION, PACKING AND TRANSPORTATION


For details of rust prevention, packing and transportation, refer to “General Shipping
Instruction” and/or “Rust Prevention Specification” in Annex 2.

9 ACCEPTANCE OF THE GOODS


Refer to THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITONS FOR PURCHASING Clauses 11 and 12.

10.1 Special Requirements

(1) Deviations and Clarifications


Deviations and clarifications from the specified requirements shall be listed separately in the
Seller's offer under a consolidated "List of Deviations and Clarifications" (a format shown in Annex
13 shall be used) with specific reference to Documentation No., Clause No. / Paragraph. No. / Line
No. etc. of applicable document to which the same applies, furnishing therein adequate reasons for
each exception and/or deviation.
The deviations and clarifications shall be subject to the Buyer's approval.
If no deviations or clarifications to the specified requirements are submitted in the bid, the Buyer
will regard the Seller's proposal as fully complying with the specification without any deviations.
Additional quotations and deviation to the specifications can-not be accepted after the award of
contract.

(2) International Codes and Standards


The reasonable Seller's deviations to International Codes and Standards listed in Annex 2 may be
accepted by the Buyer according to good engineering practice and proven Seller's experience,
subject to the Buyer's approval.
Even if not expressly mentioned, the Seller is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws
and codes governing in the country of installation.

(3) Sound Level Design Criteria


The maximum allowable sound pressure level of 85 dBA at 1 meter from individual train machine
surface shall be applied, unless otherwise specified in "Basic Engineering Design Data (BEDD)".
Octave band center frequencies of sound power levels and sound pressure levels shall be
submitted in the proposal and at the engineering stage.
The Seller shall propose countermeasures to reduce the sound pressure level, if expected sound
levels exceed the above limit.

(4) Unit
All units of measurement shall be in accordance with "Basic Enginnering Design Data (BEDD)".

(5) Spare Parts


Each spare part provided by the Seller shall be stamped or tagged to indicate its intended use. The
Seller shall quote spare parts in accordance with Clause 7.4 of "Instruction to Bidders" listed in
Annex 2 and following requirements.

(5-1) Spare Parts for Construction and Commissioning


Spare parts listed in Annex 8 shall be included in, but not limited to, the scope of supply.

(5-2) Insurance Spare Parts


Spare parts listed in Annex 9 shall be included in the scope of supply.
When spare rotor(s) are provided, the Seller shall submit drawings and parts lists which show the
scope of supply in the proposal and at engineering stage.

10.1 Special Requirements

(5-3) Spare Parts for Two Years Operation


Spare Parts for operation shall be as per Annex-11.
Spare Parts for operation shall be not only for main equipment but also for instruments, electrical,
piping and so on.
The Seller shall submit Spare Parts List for operation in the proposal.
After the award of contract, the Buyer will send the electronic file of the Buyer's format, and the
Seller shall fill-up and re-submit the spare parts list including drawing or reference for spare parts.

(6) Special Tools


When special tools, which are not commercially available catalogue items, and fixtures are
required to disassemble, assemble, or maintain all the Goods, they shall be included in Seller's
scope of supply.

For multiple-unit installations, the requirements for quantities of special tools and fixtures shall be
mutually agreed upon prior to the contract. The same or similar special tools shall be used during
shop assembly and post-test disassembly of the equipment to verify their practical effectiveness. A
complete list of special tools shall be submitted in the proposal. Each special tool shall be stamped
or tagged to indicate its intended use according to Shipping Instructions listed in Annex 2.

The Seller shall clearly specify in "Special Tools List" for what purpose (for installation / for pre-
commissioning/commissioning / for commercial operation / for maintenance) each special tool will
be used.

Moreover levers and eyebolts for the removal of parts to be serviced shall be included in the
Seller's scope of supply. Certificate for any lifting tools shall be submitted with special tools.

(7) Pressure Vessels and TEMA type Heat Exchangers


Design pressure and temperature for pressure vessels should be in accordance with specified
values in data sheets or Basic Engineering Design Data. Pressure vessels and heat exchanger
should be designed and fabricated in accordance with the specified international codes and
standards.

(8) Sub Vendors


The Seller shall use sub-vendor listed in Annex 10 to equipment, instrumentation, electrical
equipment, piping and materials as far as practical, taking into consideration of interchangeability
and uniformity of Goods.
The auxiliary equipment and parts, which are not listed, are subject to the Buyer's approval with
Seller's responsibility.
If the Seller intends to select sub-vendors other than vendors listed in Annex 10, the Seller shall
submit qualification information, such as Company Profile, Product Catalogues and Experience
List, to the Buyer for Owner's approval.
However, in any case, Chinese sub-supplier including material supply is not acceptable unless
otherwise mutually agreed between the Buyer and the Seller. Inidian sub-suppliers are subject to
the Buyer's approval.

10.1 Special Requirements

(9) Material Selection


1) Non-metal material such as FRP, rubber, plastic and vinyl shall not be used for plug, cap and
cable gland .
2) Non-metal material shall have resistance to ultraviolet, in case of outdoor use.
3) Material selection shall be considered for chemical resistance of Ammonia in Ammonia plant or
Urea Fertilizer plant. Unless otherwise mutually agreed between the Buyer and the Seller, copper
and copper alloy except 17-4PH shall not be used as minimum requirements, except for bearing
components and internal labyrinths.
Material selected instead of copper and copper alloy shall have Seller's proven experience in
Ammonia plant or Urea Fertilizer plant.
(10) Experience
Equipment including major sub-supplier equipment shall be provided by the Seller qualified by
experience in manufacturing the units proposed. The Seller must have 1) manufacturing
experience of at least three years operation of the same type, 2) delivery experience of more than
two equipment orders relating to the same services, and 3) successful commercial operation
experience for at least 2 (two) years in an ammonia-and-urea plant of the same or greater
capacity.
(11) Responsibility
The Seller shall have full unit responsibility for the entire assembly and resolve all questions and/or
problems related to the equipment.
If not specially noted hereunder, the Seller shall cover and coordinate all required components
within the specified scope of supply.

(12) Limit of Utility Connection


(12-1) Piping Connection
The Buyer has an intention to minimize interface for utilities as much as possible. The Seller should
consider this requirement in the planning stage of layout for the equipment.
The Seller should provide the header piping for utilities and branch piping to each nozzle. Terminal
points for all utilities should be located at skid edge.
The Seller shall specify all terminal points with tie-in number in the P&ID, and submit them in the
proposal to confirm the scope of supply. The following utilities, main steam inlet/outlet, drain, oil,
seal medium, and so on should be provided with only one point per each service on nozzles of
flanges.

The Seller shall provide pressure-reducing devices such as regulators or orifice plates, if it is
necessary to reduce pressure.

Kinds of Utilities, but not limited to;


- Cooling water inlet/outlet
- Steam
- Condensate
- Instrument air (IA line shall be of 304 stainless steel as a minimum grade)
- N2 Gas
- Sealing liquid

10.1 Special Requirements

(12-2) Instrument signal connection


Junction box shall be provided for interface of instrument signals.
Unless otherwise specified in PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS, junction boxes shall be segregated
properly (eg. JB for Analogue, Digital, Instrument power, Temperature detector, Vibration, signals
to/from PLC/DCS/ESD (trip), etc).
Cable gland for Buyer's cable shall be supplied by the Buyer.
Connection hole shall be made and plugged (plug to be metal) to junction boxes before shipment
by the Seller.
Connection hole size for Buyer's cable will be informed during detail engineering stage by the
Buyer.

(12-3) Power supply connection


Unless otherwise specified in PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS, junction boxes shall be segregated
properly (eg. JB for MV power, LV power, Control signal, etc).
Cable gland for Buyer's cable shall be supplied by the Buyer.
Connection hole shall be made and plugged (plug to be metal) to junction boxes before shipment
by the Seller.
Connection hole size for Buyer's cable will be informed during detail engineering stage by the
Buyer.
Terminal in junction box shall have enough size so that wire can be connected properly.
Cable and wire size will be informed during detail engineering stage by the Buyer.
The Seller shall provide the transform device such as transformer, if it is necessary to change
voltage.

(13) Material and material inspection


Material and material inspection for all equipment should be in accordance with Japanese code
(JIS), EN, DIN, ASTM and/or material of the Seller's country of origin subject to the Buyer's
approval.
If the Seller intends to use the materials other than ASTM, the Seller should submit the table in
comparison with equivalent ASTM material. The equivalent ASTM material specification
designation should be shown in all document/drawings.
GB (Chinese Standard) material and IS (Indian Standard) material are not acceptable to use for
any parts.

(14) Service life


Entire equipment except wearing parts shall be designed and fabricated for a minimum service life
of 20 years, and at least 18,000 hours of uninterrupted operation, unless otherwise specified in the
relative codes and standards.

(15) Corrosion Allowance


Corrosion Allowance for entire equipment should be in accordance with “Basic Engineering Design
Data (BEDD)” or associated API, whichever is higher.

(16) Piping
Unless otherwise specified, the Seller should provide all piping works such as engineering, material
supply, fabrication and pre-fabrication at shop within Battery Limit.

10.1 Special Requirements

(16-1) Auxiliary Piping


The Seller shall provide the sight flow indicators with ball or flapper internally in each cooling water
outlet piping.
Thermal over-pressure protection (thermal relief valve) for cooling water line is the Buyer's scope.
The amount of blow out shall be informed by the Seller. In case the block valves are installed to
cooling water line by the Seller, thermal relief valves also should be installed between the block
valves by the Seller.

(16-2) Piping Material


The Seller shall submit piping material specification based on the Buyer's piping material
specifications.

(16-3) Stress Calculation


The Seller shall provide data sheet / catalogues / fabrication details for any spring supports,
thermal stress analysis reports and calculation data at the engineering stage for the Buyer's
review, if specified.

(16-4) When the pipe flanges at tie-in points between the Seller and the Buyer cannot be applied to the
codes and standards specified in Annex 2B due to manufacturing reasons, the Seller shall provide
following spare parts for construction and commissioning;
- Mating flanges: 100%
- Bolts / nuts: 10%
- Gasket; 200%

The detailed dimensions of flanges more than 26" shall be drawn in the general arrangement
drawings.

(16-5) Interconnecting piping larger than 2 inchs and including shall be fabricated and/or pre-fabricated at
the Seller's shop before shipment. The piping below 1-1/2 inch can be shipped as bulk.

(16-6) Unless otherwise specified, the Seller shall provide any piping supports within battery limit. Piping
support should have enough stifness in order to avoid any abnormal vibration during operation.

(16-7) If the Seller supply the piping with NPT thread, minimum SCH-160 shall be applied to the piping to
preventt the damage from external stress such as vibration and so on.

(17) Nameplate
All equipment, instruments and valves shall be provided with nameplates indicating the item
number and service name shown in the equipment list. Nameplates shall be made of stainless
steel plate and placed at in an easily visible location befofe shipment. Nameplate shall have
enough information, which will be confirmed at engineering stage.
The Buyer's standard name plate form, if specified, shall be followed.

10.1 Special Requirements

(18) Design Audit meeting.


If specified in Appendix 1, the Buyer may visit the Seller's shop and carry out design audit for
equipment design, selection of parts/material, quality assurance program in shop, experience,
clarification, criteria of equipment selection, and review of manufacturing drawing (shop working
drawing) after the award of contract (within about 4 months).

(19) Lifting Lugs


Unless otherwise specified, all equipment shall be provided with lifting lugs. Shock factor for lifting
lugs / trunnions etc. shall be minimum 2.0. The position of lifting lugs and reference dimension shall
be shown on GA and/or outline drawings. NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) shall be conducted for
lifting lugs.
When any spreader bars are required for lifting and laydown, the Seller shall provide spreader bar
with equipment and certificates (strength calculation sheet, mill certificate, and etc.). Even if any
spreader bar is not required, the Seller shall submit the lifting plan according to the Buyer's
request.

(20) Skid Mount/Transportation


Equipment shall be fabricated as skid mount as much as practical to minimize field construction.

(21) Package requirements


If the Seller supplies more than two identical units, materials shall be packed individually in order to
separate each train.
Loose ship materials shall be packed into individual boxes separate from main parts.
Detail information shall be attached to the boxes.

Kind of loose ship materials, but not limited to;


- Piping (to be separated for each train)
- Instrumentation (to be separated for each train)
- Electrical (to be separated for each train)
- Construction and commissioning spare parts
- Insurance spare parts
- Special tools
- Two years spare parts.

(22) If any export packing will be shipped with the drop impact indicator, the followings should be
considered.
- It should be shown clearly how to handle packing in the Instruction Manual, Packing List.
- Drop impact indicator shall be easily visible from outside of package.
- Visible warning labels shall be attached to each package.
- When the packing is handed over to the Buyer, the Seller shall submit records that there is no
sign of a drop impact indicator with the Buyer's confirmation and signature.

(23) Engineering Coordination Service


The coordination services of engineering for equipment shall be included in the Seller's scope. The
following items are the minimum coordination services, but not limited to;

10.1 Special Requirements

(23-1) Full responsibility for design integration, inspection and test, installation/start up supervision,
proper function, performance of equipment and auxiliaries.

(23-2) Engineering analysis of complete driven equipment / gear / driver including lateral / torsional
vibration, structural resonance vibration and train performance, if specified by the Buyer and/or
related codes and standards.

(23-3) Engineering coordination of the interface between driven equipment and driver including the lube /
seal / control oil system, the couplings and guards, control and protection system, connecting
piping, wiring, and solution of problems in those items, if any.

(23-4) Submitting of train drawings between driven equipment and driver such as general arrangement,
foundation, piping arrangement, electrical, instrumentation and so on.
Even if the drivers are provided by the Buyer, the Seller of driven equipment (such as pumps,
compressors, blowers/fans and etc.) shall submit the combined interface drawings such as general
arrangement, foundation drawings, piping arrangement drawings and so on incorporated with
information of drivers.

(23-5) Coordination of the Buyer's representative attendance at Seller's shop inspections and tests.

(23-6) Arranging and coordination of the meetings between the Buyer's representative and the Seller,
when requested.

(23-7) Administration of manufacturing schedule and progress report including sub-order equipment to
the Buyer/Owner .

(23-8) The Seller shall have JOINT RESPONSIBILITY with it's sub-vendors and directly get in touch with
each other to exchange information related to the followings, but not limited to;

- General Arrangement / lay-out / loading data.


- Motor shaft stiffness data, equivalent length and motor thermal curve.
- Starting torque / current pulse limits / speed torque curve / GD2.
- Calculation of torque values.
- Connecting flange details.
- Transmission of axial thrust among rotating machines.
- Static and dynamic loads.
- Requirements of foundation and embedded material.
- Utility consumption list
- Any other interface information
- Unit P&ID, starting procedure, functional diagrams.
- Others

(24) Specification for the Seller's Documents and Drawings


Minimum requirements of contents to be shown in the Seller's documents and drawings are stated
in SPECIFICATION FOR SELLER'S DOCUMENT AND DRAWINGS. The Seller shall prepare
documents and drawings in accordance with requirements in the specification.

10.1 Special Requirements

(25) Earth lugs


Two pieces of stainless steel earth lugs shall be provided with each unit/equipment diagonally.
Detail design of earth lug shall be in accordance with the Buyer's specification.
The position of earth lugs shall be shown on each GA and/or outline drawing.

(27) Positive Material Identification (PMI)


PMI shall be conducted according to "Inspection Specification for Positive Material Identification"
listed in Annex 2.
Applicable parts shall be referred to Annex 7.
In case low carbon alloy steel (i.e. 304L/316L/317L, etc) are designated, amount of C:Carbon shall
be measured by PMI.

(28) Seismic design and dynamic analysis


Seismic and Wind load shall be considered for mechanical design as specified in Basic
Engineering Design Data (BEDD) listed in Annex 2A.
If applicable, design and dynamic analysis shall be conducted as per requirements by applicable
laws and codes governing in the country of installation.

(29) Lubricating Oil & Grease


Unless otherwise specified, the Buyer will provide an initial charge of lubricant oil including flushing
oil, but the Seller shall provide the initial charge of grease and special/unique brand lubricant oil for
one year operation.
If the Seller needs to apply special/unique lubricant and grease, the Seller shall inform the Buyer at
bidding stage.
The Seller shall submit a Lubricating Oil & Grease List which shows the required oil quantities,
grade of oil / grease with the brand names of Shell, Exxon Mobil and Seller's standard for the
equipment.

(31) Cleaning for Piping


Cleaning for all piping of the Seller's scope shall be done before shipment.

10.1 Special Requirements

(32) Shelf Life Material


In order to avoid the expiring for the shelf life materials at site, the shelf life materials shall be
delivered separately based on the Buyer's instruction, in considering construction schedule.

(33) 3D Model
The Seller shall provide any information for the Buyer's 3D model plant design.
(1) 3D Model Data Format
Editable 3D model Data of SP3D, PDS or PDMS is preferred form.
(Prefer) SP3D: VUE or MDB2 or ZVF or XML / PDS : DGN or DRV / PDMS : RVM

(2) 3D Model Data Submission Schedule
3D data shall be provided with General arrangement drawing by the Seller.
(34) In case electrical bonding is required for piping, the Seller shall provide the clips, wires, bolts, nuts
and washers.

(35) Packing lists submitted by the Seller shall indicate individually all items in the Seller's scope of
supply including loose-supply items like anchor bolts/nuts, insulation materials, field instruments to
be installed at the site.

The Buyer recognizes that the Seller fails to supply the items in case that they are required to be
supplied by the Seller but are not identified in the approved packing lists. In such a case, the Seller
shall arrange, at the Seller's expense, the shipment of these items to Buyer's designated place
according to the Buyer's instructions immediately.

(36) The Seller shall study locations for operator access during operation and maintenance such as
local gauge board, valve handles, instruments, couplings/belts, motors, grease nipples, terminal
boxes, etc. Minimum required space to access such locations shall be kept in skid.

(37) The Seller shall submit expected terms of field activity and number of required supervisor in the
proposal. The field engineering activity like unpacking, installation, precommissioning shall be listed
in the proposal in case the Seller's supervior presence is requseted to apply the warranty of the
equipment.

(39) Control Valve Bypass Arrangement


(i) The control valves whose size is NPS 3 and smaller shall equip a bypass line with a bypass
valve, in principle. The control valves whose size is NPS 4 and above doesn't need to have a
bypass line and a bypass valve, but shall equip a handwheel instead.
(ii) The control valves which are to be utilized for shut-down and/or start-up only don't need to have
a bypass line and a bypass valve, even if their size is NPS 3 and smaller. However, they shall
equip a handwheel.

(iv) The control valves which have a bypass valve shall not equip a handwheel.
(40) Stainless steel tubes used at pressure of 1.96 MPaG or above for heat exchangers shall be
seamless.

10.1 Special Requirements

(41) In addition to chemicals required for pre-commissioning and initial operation, the Seller shall also
supply required amount of consumables, if they are expected to deteriorate, to maintain the
successful operation for 1 year after the commercial operation starts. They include, but not limited
to, resins for water treatment facilities, carbon for activated carbon filter, filter media for sand filters,
adsorbent and dessicant.

(42) If the Buyer's individual data sheet specifies not to use Fluoroelastomer such as Viton for parts
contacting with the process fluid, durable material such as Fluoro-ethylene-propylene
(FEPM/AFLAS), Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM/Kalrez) or other material recommended by the Seller,
which shall have proven experiences to the same service, shall be used. The Seller's
recommended material shall be proposed with reasons and proven experience records, and is
subject to the Buyer's approval.

10.2 Special Requirement for Rotating Machine

(1) Coupling and/or V-belt Guards


All rotating parts outside casing such as couplings shall be covered by the guard. The guard shall
be made of non-sparking metal material, such as Aluminum.

(2) Fretting Corrosion


The Seller shall provide the countermeasure for the fretting corrosion on the fitting surface of the
thrust disc and separated outer race of anti-friction bearings.

(3) Driver
(3-1) Coupling Half
The Seller of driven equipment shall provide the coupling hubs of drivers.
In case driver is delivered to the Seller's shop by the Buyer, the Seller shall machine internal bore
of coupling hubs with the final dimension to meet the driver's requirement and mount coupling hubs
on driver's shaft.
In case driver is not delivered to the Seller's shop, the Seller shall deliver coupling hubs with final
machining allowance to driver manufacturer's shop until the driver vendor's required date by the
Seller's expense.
(3-2) Delivered Condition of Driver
If the large size driver is supplied by the Buyer, driver will be disassembled at the driver
manufacturer's shop in order to comply with any transportation restrictions-.
After delivery to the Seller's shop, the driver shall be reassembled at the Seller's shop with the
driver manufacturer's supervisor(s).
In such a case, the Seller shall provide skillful workmanship and shop facilities like overhead
cranes.
(3-3) Shim
The Seller shall provide the shim plate for leveling of driver and driven equipment.

(3-4) Lifting Beam


The Seller shall prepare the lifting beam to handle the driver in the Seller's shop.

(3-5) Jack Screw for Driver's Adjustment


The Seller shall provide jack screws on base plates to adjust driver horizontally and transversely.

(4) Vibration Control


(4-1) The Seller shall perform lateral and torsional vibration analysis of the whole unit assembly as per
API requirement and project specifications and submit reports to the Buyer for approval.

(4-2) The Seller shall inform the allowable vibration limit of the foundation in order to prevent any harmful
effects to the rotating machines. It shall be indicated in Foundation Drawing and/or General
Arrangement Drawing.

(4-3) If the driver / driven equipment train is in the resonance condition or any vibration problems occurs,
the Seller shall solve any problems in a timely manner.

10.2 Special Requirement for Rotating Machine

(4-4) The Seller shall specify the allowable limit for the vibration level in the inspection procedure at
shop, even if the Buyer's specification and/or relative codes and standards do not specify the
allowable vibration limit. The Seller should demonstrate during running tests that the maximum
vibration of the machine does not exceed the permissible limits.

The Seller shall also specify the allowable limit for the vibration level at site in Instruction manual.

(4-5) Vibration and Noise limitation which are specified in the specifications shall be confirmed at the
initial shop test. Even if satisfied at shop, the Seller shall also be responsible for fulfilling the
requirement at the site.

(4-6) The Seller shall have full responsibility for vibration control of the driver / driven equipment train at
the site and the units satisfactory performance, even if the foundation and drivers are provided by
the Buyer.

(5) Rotation Arrows


Rotation arrows shall be cast in or attached with stainless steel plates on each item of rotation
equipment at a readily visible location.

(6) Acoustic Enclosure


When the acoustic enclosure is provided, it shall include inspection doors to access each bearing
housing in order to take local vibration and temperature measurements. Inspection doors shall be
opened / closed easily without any tools.
Maintenance space shall be provided as per project specification, if any.

(7) Gasket Material


The type of gaskets for lube oil line shall be spiral wound with metaled inner / outer ring.
Graphite shall not be used as filler material for spriral wound.

(8) The Format of Seller's Document.


The Seller shall use API datasheet format for rotating machineries which are designed per API.
The Seller's standard data sheets can be acceptable if these are incorporated with API datasheet
contents.

(9) Constant-Level Sight Feed Oiler


Constant-level sight feed oilers, which shall be with heat-resistant glass containers and protective
wire cages, shall be provided for oil bath lubrication.

(10) Changeover from AOP to MOP for Oil Unit


If the main oil pump (MOP) is a shaft driven type, an air vent shall be provided connecting to the
highest point of discharge piping of MOP and that vent line shall be connected to the oil drain
piping.

10.3 Specific Job Requirement

(1) Unless otherwise approval by Buyer, Equipment supplied by Seller shall be qualified by experience
to manufacture the units proposed. To qualify, Seller must have manufactured (at the proposed
point of manufacture) at least two units of comparable power, speed, output, and design(s) which
have been operating satisfactorily for at least 2 year each.

(2) The produced film roll is used by the bag making machine that is installed next to blown film
machine. The film roll is cut and bottom sealed by the bag making machine, and the produced bag
is used as inner bag for fertilizer.
Outer bags to be provided by the Owner shall be of jute or woven polypropylene and inner bag is
inserted into an outer bag by operator.

(3) The produced film roll is carried by lifter(hand driving) from blown film extrusion machine to bag
making machine.

(4) The seller shall inform the utility information(amount, pressure, temperature).

(5) The seller shall select the machine size within the layout which including in Process Data Sheet.

(6) Closed water circuit with demineralized water(pre-treated water) or potable water shall be used as
cooling water. The seller shall confirm the availability of both water for machine.(We will choose
either of them later. )

(7) If the seller has the requirements to cooling water, for example additives etc, the seller shall inform
the Buyer.

(8) The air cooled chiller and connection pipe between machine and chiller to cool down the cooling
water shall be proposed as OPTION.

(9) The seller shall inform the minimum length of bag bottom skirt.(Refer to Process Data Sheet.)

(10) If the seller has the requirements to film roll, the seller shall inform the Buyer.
