Residents of these areas should watch out for possible floods and landslides. Analysis What is the text about? Does it narrate a story? Does it explain? Tell personal experiences? Does it convince you to do or believe on something? Does it inform? What do you think is the purpose of text? Abstraction Narrative text is a kind of text to retell the story. The purpose of this is to entertain or amuse the readers or listeners about the story. Expository text is a kind of text that informs or describes what the story or book is about. Persuasive text is a type of non-fiction writing used to convince the reader to agree with author about an issue. Recount text is a type of story which tell what happened in the past by recounting a series of events one after the other or in the order in which they occurred.
