Ambedker’s view on Indian National Congress

Ambedkar suspected that Indian National Congress’s idea of freedom was just to
free Indian people from the hand of British and to occupy places of power that
was occupied by the British.

Ambedkar says this kind of notion of freedom (proposed by INC) is of no use.

Because Hindus were continuing to follow the untouchability as like in the past.

By seeing this kind of situation Ambedkar said that India was immature to
undergo political revolution.

Only after social transformation there would be social equality in the society.

And thus he wanted to have social revolution first and then political revolution.

And that would have been the proper understanding of freedom. Otherwise
upper class hindus will continue to suppress the depressed class people.

He says India received freedom without preparing people to treat equally,

therefore the humiliation of depressed class people by the upper class continued.

By seeing this pathetic condition Ambedkar was forced to educate and organize
the depressed classes to cry out for their liberation.
