(esse) and essence (essentia). Essence is composed of substance and accidents. Corporeal
substance is composed of prime matter and substantial form. Prime matter is in potency, whereas
substantial form is in act.

and the ontological, of which only the last is entirely a priori, whereas the former two are a
posteriori.
