“Service Mode” is now available via the NGA’s Service menu. This is
a frequently overlooked feature that can save time and aggravation.
When Service Mode is enabled:
• TROUBLES and SUPERVISORIES are acknowledged
automatically, thereby keeping the buzzers quiet and
eliminating the need to individually acknowledge multiple
events
• Password requirements bypassed (except for Level 4),
making navigation and operation faster and easier
• On-screen button indicates Service Mode is ON or OFF. The
activation or deactivation of Service Mode is also logged as an
event in the system log.
Please note that this option is selectable ONLY when there is an NGA on the network, and when the system is
configured for Fire Alarm only. For more information and operation on the NGA, please refer to the NGA User
Guide (P/N: 9020-0675).
Availability
These product enhancements are part of NGA v3.30, which is currently shipping. CAMWorks v3.41 is required to
upgrade existing NGA’s to the v3.30 firmware and to support E3 Releasing and the MNS configuration
improvements. To download CAMWorks 3.41 or the new NGA firmware, please visit the Gamewell-FCI ESD
Download page, here. The new graphics package, included with CAMWorks V3.41, must also be downloaded to
the NGA after the firmware upgrade has been completed.
