Project description: Commonwealth Bank of Australia is a major
assignment for IBM-GBS. CBA has outsourced the complete Application
Maintenance and Enhancement to IBM. The BTS is the CBA’s application
for branch’s telling activities. Telling system typically deals with the
Withdrawals, Deposits, General Ledger Credits/Debits etc.
BTS mainly concentrates on the cash flow and cash management within

 the branch. It process customer transactions via the private web services.
It is also used for balancing the cash position of the branch. BTS has a
centralized database. Every workstation in the branch is connected to the
web server and the server in turn connects to the central data store and
host systems. CBA products application like Demand Deposit system,
Credit Cards and debit card systems, Customer information facility (CIF) all
are mainframe based backend applications.

Roles and Responsibilities as a Tableau Developer:

 Develop Tableau reports that provide clear visualizations of various

industry-specific KPIs.
 Access and transform massive datasets through filtering, grouping,
aggregation, and statistical calculation.
 Consult with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and
plan milestones in the research, development, and implementation phases
of the project lifecycle.
 Strong understanding of advanced Tableau features including calculated
fields, parameters, table calculations, row-level security, R integration,
joins, data blending, and dashboard actions.
