development (Subrahinanyam,2007). This study also showed that approximately half of all teens who
have internet access are also members of social networking site and use the internet to make plans and

school students of Osmeña Colleges.
 Statement of the problem

The main objective of this study is to figure out the impacts of using social networking site to society as
perceived by senior high students in Osmeña Colleges. Specifically these sought to answer the following
questions:

1. Profile of student respondents in terms of:

1.1 age
1.2 gender
1.3 year level

2. What are the impacts of using social networking sites to the society?
3. How did the social networking sites helped by the senior high school students?
 Scope and Delimitation

The main purpose of the study is to provide information regarding impacts using social
networking sites perceived by senior high school students in Osmeña Colleges.The study
consider the personal information of the respondent such as their name, gender,resident and
grade/section. The result of the study are suitable only to the respondent of this study.

The researcher limited the study to 50 male and female of senior high school students enrolled
in second semester of school year 2018-2019 at osmeña colleges. Each subject was given a
survey questionnaire to provide their answer. The students selected from different section
acted as a subject to prevent and get objective perception.
