System Tuner
This function allows user customize your PC environment according to user's preferences.
Setting
Selections here allow users to change current system settings.

Switch scenarios configurations after already set in the LED Wizard tab.
3. Shift
Switch among Sport / Comfort / Green modes and shift the performance.

DPI
Change the size of text, apps, and DPI scaling level for your display. There are five
adjustable DPI available: 100%, 125%, 150%, 175% and 200%.

Shift
Sport mode for overclock CPU, Comfort mode default, and Green mode keeps CPU
and GPU in low power consumption. For CPU that are not overclockable, the default
is Sport mode.
Note: select the frequency that you want to overclock in the drop-down list, the
range of frequency may differ based on CPU and thermal conditions.
Fan Speed
Auto: Configure fan speed automatically.
Basic: Adjust fan speed by a slide bar.
Advanced: Choose the fan speed by temperature.
Windows
Click OFF to disable the Windows key; click ON to enable the Windows key.

Profile Settings
Launch App
1. Check Launch App box.
2. Click [+] to add a maximum of four applications.
3. Click [Apply] to apply Profile 01 setting.

Mobile Center
Mobile Center allows user remote control your MSI PC/NB over WiFi from your mobile device.
You need to have the "MSI Dragon Center" installed on your PC/NB and "MSI Dragon
Dashboard" on your mobile device.

1. Click Mobile Connection to [On]. PC will start search mobile devices with Dragon
Dashboard activated in the same IP address.
2. Click [Allow access] when a Windows Security Alert message may pop up
asking you to allow Dragon Center to access the network.
3. Launch Dragon Dashboard on your mobile device and Tap [Search Device] on
your mobile device to find your PC/NB. Select your PC/NB name to connect.
4. Successfully connected.

3. Instant Play: This item includes settings regarding gaming mode environment.
4. Hybrid Power: This item indicates whether Hybrid Power status is ON or OFF.

System Monitor
The field shows real-time readings of major components including CPU, dGPU, memory,
temperature and network speed.
Performance
This item shows current status of CPU, dGPU, memory, battery, disk, fan speed, power
plan and power consumption.
Shift Mode
This item shows current modes when running on AC power. Shift is only supported when
running on AC power.
Green Mode: CPU turbo disabled, lower frequencies/voltage on both CPU and GPU.
Comfort Mode: CPU turbo is enabled, but GPU frequency is prohibited from ramping
up into boost frequencies.
Sport Mode: Overclocking of both CPU and GPU. Also activates Cooler Boost.
The switch between SHIFT profiles is simple, done by pressing the Fn + F7 key combo, or
via Dragon Gaming Center. As you’d expect, Sport Mode delivers the maximum potential of
the hardware and the highest scores, while Comfort and Green Mode are a bit slower, but
lowers the temperatures by a lot.

Temperature
This item shows dGPU and CPU temperature. Click on F can switch to Fahrenheit degree
while click on C to Celsius degree.
Network Speed
This item shows the speed of your Ethernet and Wi-Fi connection.

Utility
This function integrates a maximum of nine shortcuts of software and utilities embedded in the
notebook.

Instant Play
Instant Play function allows users to define several features in P1 key shortcut or a combination
of Fn + F4 key. One can designate an immediate startup for one specified game, set the key as
a quick switch to ECO Gaming mode and adjust hardware configuration.

key (if available), or click the game icon to enter game mode and launch the game
immediately.

Nahimic 2
Nahimic 2 is designed to give users the best audio experience, offering
various audio effects and automatic recording function. Find the
Nahimic launching icon on the desktop or the system tray in the lower
right-hand corner of screen. Click on this icon to launch the Nahimic 2
application.
Main Window
Nahimic’s UI is composed of a main window with 4 tabs, which are Audio, Microphone and HD
Audio Recorder 2, Sound Tracker and a Preferences window.

1. Device
Displays the type of audio rendering device currently being used as output, as well as
its current volume. This section can display the volume of the internal (built-in) speakers,
headphones and external speakers.
2. Mute
Mutes the current device.
3. Audio Profiles
Choose between 4 audio profiles to fit your gaming experience: Racing, Role Play,
Shooter or Strategy. Choose between 3 audio profiles to fit your everyday experience:
Com, Movie or Music (default). All profiles can be adjusted if needed.
4. Audio Effects
Users are also allowed to manually adjust the audio effects to meet the individual needs:
Bass Boost, Virtual Surround, Reverb, Treble Enhancer, Smart Loudness and Voice
Clarity. Each audio effect can be disabled if needed.
Bass Boost
Increases the energy in low frequencies up to +12 dB on a frequency range optimized
for the audio rendering device in use.

Virtual Surround
Music
Expands the stereo for a wider sound stage.
Reverb
Increases the feeling of space by applying different types of reverbs corresponding to
different room sizes. The reverb effect can be pushed up from +0 up to +6 dB (0 to
100%).
Treble Enhancer
Increases the energy in high frequencies up to +12 dB on a frequency range optimized
for the audio rendering device in use.
Smart Loudness
This compressor maintains a constant volume for all elements of the audio experience
(dialogs, soundtrack, explosions, etc.) to making them all sound softer, balanced or
louder.
Voice Clarity
Boosts the speech in movies, video games and incoming communication from +0
through +12 dB (0 to 100%).
Reset
Restores the current profile to its default values.
5. On/Off botton
Allows user to switch all Nahimic’s effects on and off in one click.

Audio – EQ Settings
1. EQ Settings
Allows you to choose between 6 EQ settings to fit your audio experience: Flat, Punchy,
Deep & Bright, Warm & Crunchy, Bright and Deep. The values of each preset EQ
setting cannot be adjusted.
By default, there is a preset EQ setting appointed to each audio profile, however the
preset EQ for each audio profile is allowed to change in accordance with personal
preference. For instance, the default EQ setting for Music profile is Flat. But it can be
re-selected from any other EQ settings for the Music profile, and the preference will be
saved.
2. Custom EQ Setting
It is allowed to change the x10 bands of the Custom EQ profile so as to make it fit your
current needs.
3. x10 bands EQ
X10 bands EQ, from 32Hz to 16KHz.

1. Format
Allows to change the format of the current device (if the option is available for the
current device).
2. Sample Rate
Allows to change the sample rate of the current device (if the option is available for the
current device).
3. Bit Rate
Allows to change the bit rate of the current device (if the option is available for the
current device).
4. Channel Gain
Allows to change the gain of each channel thanks to sliders. Channels are bound (no
left / right distinction).
2.0: no slider (can be changed thanks to volume slider).
4.0: Front, Rear sliders.
5.1: Front, Rear, Center and Sub sliders.
7.1: Front, Rear, Center, Sub and Side sliders.
5. ASIO Support
Nahimic 2 ensures that its effects are not applied to the ASIO format.

1. Device
Displays the type of audio recording device currently being used as input, as well as its
current volume. This section can display the volume of the internal (built-in) microphone
and external microphone.
2. Mute
Mutes the current device.
3. Microphone Loopback
Turns the microphone loopback On/Off. In order to avoid any feedback (Larsen effect),
this option can be used only when a headphone is plugged.
4. Voice Shaper
Applies a filter to the voice, find and select a desired selection from the drop-down list --
Clear, Magnifier, Old Radio, Remove Rumble, Telephone, and Walkie Talkie. It is also
possible not to apply any effect to the microphone by selecting None from the list. To
disable the function of Voice Shaper, simply click on the Voice Shaper button.

6. Noise Reduction
Removes the remaining sound that the Noise Gate has left on top of your words and
sentences. The noise reduction level can be adjusted with a 0 to 100% slider. To
disable the function of Noise Reduction, simply click on the Noise Reduction button.
7. Power button
Allows you to turn on and off all Nahimic 2’s microphone effects in one click.

The Audio Launchpad is one of the fresh new features of Nahimic 2. As it’s a feature designed for
broadcasters, it can be found in the tab of HD Audio Recorder 2.
The Audio Launchpad allows streamers to use prerecorded sounds during a livestream. These
sounds can also be heard by viewers. This tool will allow you to create your true audio identity.
Thus, your livestreams will be much more personalized and animated.
Thanks to the Audio Launchpad, you can trigger audio samples of your choice with your
keyboard or gamepad during your streaming sessions. With only a simple click on a pad, you will
trigger a sound.
1. Properties button
Every pad can be customized by clicking the properties button that will appear in its
bottom right when hovering over it with your mouse cursor.

1. Audio Sample
Assign a sound effect to each pad here. By default, there will a sound assigned to each
pad, however it will be allowed to change to each pad manually.
Click on [Browse] to appoint the file of the selected sound. By default, click on
Browse, you will be taken to the default folder that contains a selection of sounds
provided by Nahimic 2.
Click on [Play] button to listen to the selected sound.
The Audio Launchpad has been designed to trigger short sound clips that animate your
streaming sessions in a fun way. That’s why the only limitation we put is that Audio
Launchpad displays 30 seconds of the sound – if your sound lasts more than 30
seconds, it will stop after this time.

2. Control
Assign a keyboard hotkey to each pad. To trigger a particular sound of each pad, simply
click on the pad in accordance with the selected sound, or press the appointed
keyboard hotkey. By default, there will be a keyboard hotkey appointed to each pad,
however it will be allowed to re-appoint the keyboard hotkey to each pad manually.
Move the mouse cursor to the hotkey field, and click on it. As soon as a blink
underscore appears, capture the keyboard hotkey now.
To cancel the keyboard hotkey captured, move the mouse cursor to the hotkey
field, and click on it.
3. Pad Color
Assign a color to each pad. 8 default colors in the Pad Color that can be assigned to
each pad. To do so, follow the steps below:

Sound Tracker
The Audio Launchpad is one of the fresh new features of Nahimic 2. As it’s a feature designed for
broadcasters, it can be found in the tab of HD Audio Recorder 2.
The Sound Tracker is also a new feature of Nahimic 2. The Sound Tracker is an FPS oriented
feature that provides a visual indication localizing the source of the strongest sound while in a
game.
Thanks to this feature, players are able to see an approaching threat more definitively and easily,
thereby being even more dynamic.
The Sound Tracker captions the 5.1 and 7.1 sound streams processed by your audio system,
and is displayed in all applications and games using DirectX 9, 9c, 10 and 11.
Please remember the Sound Tracker is only available if you are using an audio device that
supports Nahimic 2 effects.

Adjust the transparency of the Sound Tracker, making it look more or less discrete.

Preference
1. Language
The language of Nahimic 2’s UI is automatically selected, based on the OS language.
However, it is allowed to re-select the language manually in the preferences window.
The language options include English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French,
German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese and Polish.
2. Reset All
Reset all the settings back to defaults.

Sign In
Use your XSplit Broadcaster account to log in if you have one, if you don't have an account yet,
go to XSplit.com to register one.

1. Switch to any game or open console viewer. When XSplit Gamecaster loads into your
game, you will see a notification that tells you what hot key is set to open the overlay.
The default hot key combination to show the XSplit Gamecaster overlay is CTRL + TAB.

Annotation
The built-in annotation feature enables you to draw and highlight selected parts of the
gameplay.
1. Hit CTRL + TAB to open your overlay, and select annotation icon in the top bar.
2. Press the F1 key to see the variety of tools available in annotation mode. To exit
annotation mode press the ESC key.
3. You can add your commentary through drawings, sketches, and etc.

Add a Webcam
With XSplit Gamecaster, it's easier than ever to add your webcam whether live streaming or
recording. Simply bring up the in-game overlay, click the camera button and then position it
anywhere. You need to press Fn + F6 to turn the Webcam function on beforehand.
1. Add a webcam is Settings Tab. First, make sure you have your desired camera
selected in the Settings tab of the XSplit Gamecaster window.
2. Toggle your overlay and click on the camera icon to enable or disable your camera.
3. You can choose to have your camera shown only in your recording or stream, or you
can also pin it so you can see it in your game.

In Game HUD
Set your camera to be visible to your screen viewer in-game to your viewer.
1. Go to where your camera's position in the overlay, check the In Game HUD to ON.
2. There you go, the screen shows in game HUD visibility to see the chat in game.

Accounts
The Accounts tab give you access to live streaming, video sharing and social networks. Do it all
from a simple user-interface that works directly inside your favorite video game.

Image Overlay
Customize your game by adding an image overlay. Use it to add your clan logo, your social
media links or even a full screen game overlay. First, you need to update to the latest version of
XSplit Gamecaster v. 1.7. The feature will not be available in old versions of XSplit Gamecaster.
Look on the Start tab of XSplit Gamecaster and you will be prompted if you are not on the latest
version.

Visibility
The first option toggles visibility modes for the image. You can choose whether to show the
image to your viewers and/or yourself.
Opacity
Set the opacity of Image Overlay. This controls the transparency of the image. A value of
100% means no transparency.

Buttons
This tab allows user to assign custom actions to any programmable button, and to see a layout of
the laptop with a brief overview of the assignment. After installing the SteelSeries Engine 2, you
will need to right click on the icon in the taskbar and open it.
1. Scale
Here you can choose to scale the keyboard on this screen. On to scale keyboard to the size
of your screen or Off to the size of original pixel size.
2. Keyboard Layout
Keyboard Layout will show the keyboard of a corresponding model. Hotkeys illuminating
green frame with mouse cursor movement indicates user defined hotkeys. Just right-click
on a key, a gamer can easily customize every individual key as hot key to personalize
his/her own play style, greatly increase the convenience on key usage.
Note: Fn, F1 to F12 keys has been excluded to hotkeys to reduce the possibility of
accidentally striking.
3. Active Layer and Layers Setting
The SteelSeries Engine MSI gaming laptops incorporated supports four keyboard layers for
gamers to set four usage scenarios. Press Fn+1 to 4 to switch layers.

Action Type
SteelSeries 2 application allows you to choose between four types of actions for a key -
Keypress Macro, Text Macro, Launch Application and Disable Key.
Keypress Macro
The Keypress Macro type simulates mouse and keyboard inputs at a kernel level.
1. Designate a hotkey from keyboard layout.
2. Name the hotkey in Name field.
3. Select Keypress Macro in Action Type dropdown menu.
4. Enter Keypresses and click Record Delays to record delay between signals.
5. For advanced tweaks, click Advanced, and then follow the on-screen instructions to
Advanced Macro Editor window where you can fine-tune the signal delay times.
6. Click Save in bottom left corner in the main screen.

Text Macro
The "Text Macro" type is used to copies and pastes the specified text.
1. Designate a hotkey from keyboard layout.
2. Name the hotkey in Name field.
3. Select Text Macro in Action Type dropdown menu.
4. Enter strings in Text field. Multilingual strings supported.
5. Set hotkeys for Start Key and Send Key as text macro ready, you will be able to start
keystringssend in one keystroke. A macro that spams multiple keys with one
keypress.
6. Click Save in bottom left corner in the main screen.

Launch Application
The "Launch Application" type launches the designated game or other application.
1. Designate a hotkey from keyboard layout.
2. Name the hotkey in Name field.
3. Select Launch Application in Action Type dropdown menu.
4. In Application field, select the specific application by clicking Browse.
5. Click Save in bottom left corner in the main screen.

Disable Key
Disable Key ensures that nothing happens when the button is pressed. Finally there's the
Macro Editor that can disable the keyboard when needed, among other tasks.
1. Designate a hotkey from keyboard layout.
2. Name the hotkey in Name field.
3. Select Disable Key in Action Type dropdown menu.
4. Click Save in bottom left corner in the main screen.

Color
By clicking on the Colors tab, users can fully customize the keyboard illumination from the
individual and group color settings to the intensity of the illumination.

This part shows current layer of backlit keyboard.

Effect
User can choose backlight modes, six usage scenarios available.
1. Select desired effects in the list.
2. Set backlight LED color by clicking on a color zone, and color setting windows will pop
up. Then follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Properties
User can launch specific profile according to corresponding games, for example, use profile 1
for First-Personal Shooting games (FPS), and profile 2 for Defense of the Ancients (DotA)
games.

Profiles
The left hand side list in the SteelSeries Engine is specifically for Profiles - Default profiles
including the SteelSeries Default and custom profiles created by the user.
To import, export, rename, copy or delete a profile, right click on the profile name and select the
desired function.

Statistics
Use the Statistics module to record your keyboard or mouse actions. You can then use this
information to fine tune your macros as well as your key and mouse button assignments to
optimize your tools to play and work.
Statistics tab highlights the most frequently used keys. This solution also runs monitoring tests
during any game or application, and enables users to calculate their Actions Per Minute (APM)
to improve gaming efficiency and customize key locations.

Macro Editor
Clicking the Launch button brings up the Macro screen. Macros can be recorded with a fixed
15ms delay or in real-time. Once recorded the Macro (and its delays) can be edited and
saved.
1. Click Start to record your Macros (both Mouse and Keyboard is supported).
3. Set Delay Option (As Recorded, Fixed Delay, or No Delay) to your preference. Select
Save to finish.
4. A simple click of the Manage button allows you to create, edit or delete all of the Macros

triggered with Loop Gap selected, the application will continue executing the instructed
hotkey function repeatedly until this hotkey is pressed again.
When None is selected, the hotkey will only be executed once.

Shift Mode
Upon successful installation of the Shift application, there will be a launch
icon pinned in the system tray list. Clicking on the tray icon in the
lower right-hand corner of the screen will bring out all hidden items, select
the Shift icon to launch or press Fn and F7 to launch the Shift application.
1. Sport Mode (Red): Overclocking the CPU to desired performance by user settings.
3. Creen Mode (Green): Disabling CPU turbo and keeping to lower CPU
frequencies/voltage.
