PROGRESS REPORT

Project Title: Proposed Development Plan of People’s Park at Trece Martires City, Cavite

For Design 2, the proponents are required to present design alternatives for each

structure. The design capacity and safety of the project, cost of the project, and speed of

construction are the main things to consider in the design. The proponents chose the four

– storey TMC multipurpose building and the three – storey building. For each structure,

the proponents will prepare two design alternatives that focused on the materials to be

used in construction.

First, the proponents started on the framing plan of the structures. The framing

plan is then used in Staad Analysis. Figure 1 shows the 3D model of four – storey

building with initial material properties. For design alternative 1, the proponents used

structural steel members.

While working on the Staad Analysis, the proponents started to compute for the
loadings such as dead load, live load, and wind load. Some structural plans like the
schedule of beams, and footing are also started by the proponents. The proponents
prioritized the loadings of the proposed structures to insert in Staad to begin the analysis.
