“Keep your dreams alive.

Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in

yourself, vision, hard work, determination and dedication. Remember all things are possible for

those who believe”, few lines from Gail Deners that describe my eagerness in fulfilling my

dreams.

If you would ask the out of school youth within our community why they decided to

stop going to school, they would probably answer the word “POVERTY”. They will say “my

parents can’t afford to send me to college because of financial matter”, and I am one of them.

It was year 2014 when I finished high school but I wasn’t able to go to college the

following years for I have to wait for someone who would help me. It took me one and five

months after I realized that I have to work hard and do something for myself. I work as laborer

to earn money for my studying.

My eagerness and determination to graduate as an agriculturist is now about to fulfill.

But these days a more challenging role is yet to come which makes my studying more difficult

to afford on how will I fund my thesis. Since I only have limited resources, I work every

Saturdays and Sundays to sustain my daily needs as a student.

I believe that this scholarship will help me a lot and it’s the best way to keep me

advancing into this career. This will help me accomplish my current goal, move on to the next

and become a successful Agriculturist in the field. Having this scholarship means taking away

my financial concerns. Thus, it gives me more time to focus on my studies, gain knowledge and

secure better grades. Lastly, once a student graduate from college with a scholarship are highly

recognized by employers for they believe that they are responsible enough in taking tasks.
I am not a perfect image of a student, but I am a student who is trying enough, working

so hard, and doing the best way I can just to finish my college because “MY DREAM IS ALSO MY

FAMILY’S DREAM”.
