Task / premises: Assembly and testing of electronics including use of hand soldering iron, hand tools, test equipment for examining low
voltages.

appropriate.
Burns to hands User  Use suitable Soldering Iron stands when Iron Low A
/ arms / eyes not in use.
 Keep work area tidy.
 Remove excess solder from tip using sponge
provided.
 Wear eye protection when using liquid flux.
Use of hand tools Cuts / pinches User  Restricted access to Lab. Low A
 Tools stored safely in drawers when not in
use.
 Ensure user is competent to use tools
