FREQUENCY… IMPORTANT INFORMATION…It is important to use the correct manual handling

 As and When techniques,Wear the correct PPE (see equipment list). Do not use your feet as brakes
Required to stop the truck. ALWAYS assess the load before picking it up. Use other more
suitable MHE for the task if needed.Keep your feet clear of load when lowering.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE… WHAT YOU NEED TO DO…

 Person carrying out task 1. Turn on the electric pallet truck.This can be via a key or code.
 Choose an item. 2. Complete a daily pre use check sheet, reporting any faults to your supervisor .
3. Always assess the load before picking it up .
4. Do not attempt to pick up an unstable or an overloaded load.
WHO CAN HELP ME… 5. Fully insert the pallet truck into the load until the heel of the pallet truck touches
 Supervisor the load.
 Choose an item. 6. Press the control for raising the forks this will raise the load ready for transport.
7. Complete an all round observation making sure it Is safe to set off. Sound the
horn if required.
DOCUMENTATION… 8. It is considered best practice to operate the truck with forks trailing to give you a
