 Determine how to clean and lubricate the machine
 Observe regular cleaning by following the safety
procedures in machine cleaning
 Perform machine cleaning.

II. SUBJECT MATTER.

Topic: Care of Sewing Machine
Reference: K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum
Materials: TV, picture, real lockstitch sewing machine, oil, and cell
phone
III. PROCEDURE.
A. Preparatory Activity
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Checking of attendance
 Review the past lesson
 Motivation
 Setting of objectives

B. Activity
The teacher will pair the student but the teacher first
demo on how to clean the machine.
C. Analysis
Class is it necessary to clean the sewing machine? Why?
D. Abstraction
What are the proper procedure in cleaning the machine?

IV. EVALUATION.
Direction arrange the following in correct order .mark as b and so on.

1. Face Plate (presser bar, needle bar, thread take up lever, lifter)
_____Put back the Face Plate in Place
_____Unscrew face plate and keep it in the drawer while cleaning
 _____Brush dust away then put a little amount of oil while rotating
the balance wheel to inner parts can be accessed.

2. Lower Mechanism (rotary oscillating hook)

_____Put a little amount of machine oil on moving parts
_____Remove dust with lint brush
_____Fasten side of oscillating hook
_____Return spare parts in place
_____Remove bobbin case.

V. ASSIGNENT.
Search for automatic tools in cleaning sewing machine.
