Calculation of Air Flushing to meet the GBI requirement (Mid Valley south Tower MEZZ floor “BODY

PERFECT”)

Total floor area that renovated are around 1570 square meter

Requirement: 10 ACH for 30 min before occupancy

Slab to slab high = 4 meter

Total Air volume circulation require = 1570sqm x 4meter x 10 ACH x 0.5 hours (30 min)

= 31,400 meter cube (m^3)

Total exhaust Fan capacity (EF-1 to 5) = 1,200cfm + 1,200cfm + 750cfm + 1350cfm + 450cfm
= 4,950 cfm = 8,418 cmh

Total air flushing time require = 31,400 M^3 / 8,418 cmh

= 3.73 hours (4 hours)

Note: All door should remain open to allow air flow from once space/room to the others.

AHU should remain running and fresh air Volume damper to be manually fully open to allow fresh air
make up from every air conditioning space that serve by the AHU main duct.

Requirement: Continuous 1 ACH during the initial 14 days occupancy of the completed building

Total exhaust Fan capacity (4,950cfm/ 8,418 cmh) are actually producing 1.34 ACH as showed below:

8,418 cmh / (1570sqm x 4 meter) = 1.34 ACH

Tenant just have to make sure all the exhaust Fan are manually open for the initial 14 days.
