12:45 – 1:00 Registration outside Escaler Hall - Make sure you get a NAMETAG.
- We’re still in the process of matching
you with your Grade 10 mentees and
we will post this on our FB group ASAP.
Your mentees MAY or MAY NOT be
from the same public high school. On
the day itself, we will also provide you
with a print out of the names of your
group members.
- Please DO NOT SIT with your partner
for the purpose of Activity 1 (see
below).

1:00 – 1:15 Opening Rites

o Opening Prayer
o National Anthem
o Welcoming Remarks
o Introduction of the Praxis Team

1:15 – 1:45 Activity 1: Find your mentor! - By this time, the Grade 10 mentees
should know their groups already. Each
group will be given the list of things you
wrote about yourself (and probably also
your ambition if the list is too general)
and their job is to go around the room
to look for YOU.
- If you have forgotten the list of things
you wrote about yourself, you may
check it here:
http://tinyurl.com/listofqualities.

Getting to Know You - Once your group finds you, FACILIATE A

SHORT AND BRIEF ROUND OF
INTRODUCTIONS. Your mentees might
not know each other if they come from
different schools. Some of them might
also be a bit shy in the beginning so you
might have to exert some effort to
engage them (remember the tips from
the Basic Faci/Mentoring Skills
Training?).
- Find a place inside Escaler Hall and SIT
TOGETHER with your group.
1:45 – 2:15 Activity 2: Mamera: Household Chores - We will give the instructions for this
game on the day itself.
- A prize will be awarded to the winning
group! 

o Orientation for Grade 10 students blanks that they will have to fill in) will
on what the Praxis Project is for this be distributed to the Grade 10
school year participants. Pay attention to the
o Open Forum (in case they have orientation as well so you can help
questions) them fill out the blanks in case they
o Instructions for breakout session miss some items.

3:30 – 3:45 BREAK - Snacks will be provided for everyone at

SEC B Foyer.
- Please BE A GOOD ROLE MODEL to the
kids and make sure you throw your
trash in the right place afterwards. Tell
them to do the same.
- Please also practice the value of
SOLIDARITY with the participants by
only consuming the snacks provided
and not buying anything from the
cafeteria. It would also be best if you sit
with your mentees and take advantage
of this time to get to know them even
more.

3:45 – 4:45 Breakout Session - Help the group figure out their

SESSION to help them think of project
ideas and/or how they can assess the
community’s needs.
- For this portion, you may find a space
to sit with your group either inside
Escaler Hall, at SEC B Foyer, SEC A 123
