The elective highlighted this Term is Public

Speaking. This 2 term course is taught by Brother Ali

field trip
On the 24th of October, ISOM took the whole
school on an educational field trip to Charles
Deering Estate. Located on Old Cutler Road,
the massive 444-acre Deering Estate is an
archaeological, environmental, and historical
preserve.The estate is home to a large number
of wildlife and beautiful locations. The
students participated in many activities, some
of which were scat hikes and building wind
turbines. The students learned a lot about the
rich history of the place and the many animals
that reside there. This field trip was the first
school trip of the 2019-2020 school year and
Inshallah not the last. May Allah help make
our upcoming field trips just as beneficial.

As the ISOM family, we are searching for ways to raise funds to support our school.

annual fundraiser
On February 1st, ISOM held its 2019-2020 annual fundraiser event at the Mehfil Banquet
Hall. During this event, we had various different presentations by our students. Guests
were also given information about the school and the academic systems ISOM utilizes to
enhance each student’s learning experience. With arround 225 attendees, we raised a little
over $75,000 Alhamdulillah. Although many cash donations were received, a large portion
of it was pledged. If you have a pledge, please deliver it to the office at your convenience.
Mashaa Allah, a portion of this donation was gained from auctioned paintings hand-made
by our very own High-School students. These paintings sold from a range of $50 to an
incredible $700. We would like to show our deepest appreciation to everyone who attended,
and a very special thank you to those who donated money to our school.
