It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application for the position of Talent Acquisition Partner at
American Water. I am deeply committed to recruiting top talent which, in turn, will drive the best
company results and build a strong employee culture.

In my current position at Apple Sagemore, I am the People Manager responsible for all aspects of human
resources including training, payroll, benefits, employee relations and performance. However, with the
needs of the business, my role’s top focus is Talent Acquisition. Within our market of four stores, I have
strategically planned talent building with managers to ensure all positions were filled in a timely manner.
Over the past nine years, I have planned, executed and presented hiring events to over hundreds of people
to showcase the benefits at working at Apple. This includes pre-screening candidates as well as training
managers on what a successful screen looks like.

From the technical side, I am the “go-to” resources for managers with recruitment systems as well as
finding creative sourcing techniques. I have been asked by our corporate team to lead two recruiting
projects — one highlighting college reuniting and one highlighting diversity in recruiting. During these
experiences, my collaboration helped change many strategies company wide.

I am pleased to see that American Water values continuous improvement, as I have always been driven to
improve my knowledge base through professional development. During my journey within Human
Resources, I obtained a Masters of Science in Human Resources Management and a certificate in Human
Resources Management. I learned a lot of best practices through fellow students and professors. My goal
is to obtain an additional certification (SHRM - CP) in the Spring of 2020.

American Water prides itself on making a positive impact on the environment and one of our most
important resources. With my experience and education, I believe I am a knowledgeable and qualified
manager to leading a team to acquiring top talent.
