I. RATIONALE

Rice is one of the most important food crops in the world and its production is regarded as the single most
important economic activity on the planet. Billions of people rely on rice as their main food source. Beyond
providing sustenance, rice plays an important cultural role in many countries. Product of the rice plant is used for a
number of different purposes.

As perceived most rice farmer growers lack the technology in rice production. Particularly on field maintenance
and pest management strategies. They must be given attention for intervention in rice production.

Hence, Training on Rice Production technology would be catered for the farmer.

II. TERMINAL OBJECTIVES:

Generally, the course aims to develop necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills of participants on Rice
technology production and strengthen capability to implement the Integrated Crop Management in their
respective areas of coverage.

ENABLING OBJECTIVES:

Specifically, at the end of the training, participants shall able to:


 Provide a hands-on knowledge-enriching in implementing, managing, monitoring and evaluating of
Rice programs;
 Demonstrate skills in non-formal education approaches and extension techniques in the delivery of
services;
 Strengthen the monitoring and evaluation of Rice programs and project;

III. PARTICIPANTS:
Thirty (30) farmers from Barangay Gango, RT Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay are allowed to participate the training
course on rice production.

The training on rice production include the following.
