The mung bean has been one of the most significant

legume crops in the Philippines for so many years that farmers around the area use
the mung bean after planting rice as a rotation for crop production. The mung bean
helps the soil to enrich a supplement called nitrogen. As technology develops, new
industrial equipment aids people in agriculture and makes their work easier.
Nowadays, mung bean planting can be done in your backyard using less industrial
equipment and just with your bare hands. It is easier to have a supply of mung
beans than to buy them in the market. Even in the school garden, students used to
have a spare piece of land at the back of their classroom to plant vegetables,
especially munggo/mung bean (Dioses et al., 2022). Mung bean, a legume widely grown
for food consumption, is one of the cheapest protein sources in the Filipino diet.
It is a good source of dietary fiber; Mung beans are made into a dish, are usually
partnered with rice, and are served in local feeding programs in the Philippines.
The growing interest of Filipino in plant-based food and the expanding local vegan
and vegetarian movements make this kind of crop increase demand in the country
(Yanos & Leal, 2020). Due to the low productivity and high demands, in March 2023,
the Philippines reportedly imported legumes, including mung beans, by five to seven
percent annually in the next five years, according to the United States Department
of Agriculture (USDA) (Macapagal, 2023). This crop has also been the source of
income and livelihood for Filipino farmers. Thus, the higher the demand, the higher
the income of the local farmers who rely on their products.

This study's possible findings will widen our knowledge of how manipulating music
and light can affect the growth of Mung beans and improve growng conditions.

the music

This study's possible findings can widen our knowledge of how manipulating the
music and light environment effects mung beans and improve it's growing conditions.

Treatment Giving (Music conditions). The Mung bean plants that will receive the
treatments will be separated from those that do not have treatment applied. There
will be a group that does not have any treatment as so the Researcher's will
compare it to the ones who are receiving treatment. The mung bean plants will be
grouped into three based on their similar characteristics. The grouped plants will
be placed in separate containers, and each container will have the same music and
corresponding light for each plant. The researchers will put a speaker inside a
container and wrap it with plastic so it will not be destroyed by moisture. The
amount of time that the plant will be given is 5 hours daily.

Treatment Giving (Lighting conditions). The plant will be exposed to the sun fully.
The researchers will cover the pot with cellophane with the help of PVC pipes to
achieve the color of light the researchers will give the plant. The treatment would
be given randomly in each plant. --- The plants not receiving treatment will grow
normally without the music and lighting conditions affecting their growth.
Researchers will constantly monitor insects and diseases and remove any infected
leaves or stems in the plant to prevent impact on the rest of it. The researchers
can test the results once the plant has grown 6 inches tall. After 60-80 days, the
Mung beans will mature, and flowers will be developed and manufactured in pods.
Researchers can now harvest the beans by snapping the pods, opening them, and
transposing them inside (Brosas, 2023).
