 1. Thesis statement

In view of demands of growing economy a fair, speedy and cost efficient mechanism for
the settlement of disputes is a dire need of the present day which may be met by
administrative tribunals.

2. Introduction and significance of the Research

Administrative tribunals are playing very important role in the dispensation of justice in view of

emerging challenges. Tribunals cope with the emerging challenges as most of the procedural

formalities are dispensed with while decididing a dispute. Speedy, less expensive and specilised

justice is the hallmark of present day tribunals.........

3. Research questions.

Present researh will address the following questions.

1. The issue of autonomy and independence of administrative tribunals.

2. Jurisdictional issues between courts and tribunals.

3. Procedural hinderences in the smooth working of tribunals

4. Structural deficiencies in the formation of tribunals.

5. Overall role of administrative tribunals within the justice system of pakistan.

4. Objectives of the Research

1. To examine the strenght and weaknesses of tribunals working in pakistan.

4. Research methodology

Analytical and critical methodology will be adopted for the analysis of the issues while

conducting the research. During the course of investigation on the subject primary and

secondary sources of data will be used. Case laws decided by courts of law in pakistan

will be focused to highlight the jurisprudence on the subject
