Guidance Philosophy

I believe that each child is at their own level of development and some need more time than
others to grasp concepts. It is important to, as a teacher, guide children behaviors instead of
discipline. Having a safe, collaborative environment is important as well as close professional
relationships with families and their children. I also believe that a lot of children’s behaviors are
mistaken behaviors.
