2. Some mathematical knowledge (knowing when there is a full line making it a bingo)
This learning experience has been planned to stress the following WMELS performance
standards:
1. Language Development and communication III.A.EL.2
2. Approaches to Learning IV.C.EL.3
Specific list of space and/or materials needed including colors, amounts, sizes, etc.
Table with chairs, bingo cards, place holders, bingo calling cards, coloring sheets, crayons
Source of materials:
All are available at the center/in the classroom
Provided, in part, by cooperating teacher
I am providing the following: Bingo cards, bingo calling cards, coloring sheets
Teacher preparation needed before activity presentation, i.e. mixing paint, cutting paper,
construction of flannel board characters, etc.
Cutting bingo activity out, laminating bingo activity, printing coloring sheets

Set-up and arrangement of materials and equipment
Have children come to table, pass out cards and placers
Transition Planning: Describe how the children will transition into the learning experience.
Explain each community helper, pass out cards and start game
What is the teacher’s role (what will you do) during this learning experience?
Call the bingo calling cards and help locate picture on bingo card.
What will the children do during the learning experience? (Remember children are active, hands-on
learners!)
Be playing bingo and coloring pictures after
How will the learning experience area be cleaned up? (How will the children help in this process?
Where will the leftover materials be put? Where will the children’s art work be place?)
Put their bingo cards in a pile and put places back in the bin. Art work can be brought home with them
at the end of the day.
Transition Planning: Describe how the children will transition out of the learning experience.
Be coloring after bingo then can go to work time.

Did the learning experience support the developmental skill that you planned to support? How
do you know?
Yes. The children knew about the community helper but didn’t know the exact name of what
their job is. Playing bingo helped them learn the job title better.
What changes would you make in the space and/or materials used in this learning experience?
All recommended changes should be supported with examples of the children’s participation. If you
said, “no change,” support your response.
I would use different placers because the ones that were used seamed a little to big for the cards. They
were covering up parts of other spaces making it hard for them to see the full picture.
What changes would you make in your teaching of this learning experience? Support each change

I don’t think I would make any changes because the children seemed to understand the activity as well
as enjoy it. I don’t know how else I would do this activity.
