Rationale:

My work sample for Diversity is pictures and charts hanging on the walls around the
room. It fits this category because
It shows multiple different diversities and it is something that the children can look at and
use whenever necessary. I chose it as the best example of my work because These
posters are something that the children know are available to them and they use them
whenever necessary as well as teachers to reference too. I learned about how there are
many different ways to show and express different diversities without even realizing
you’re doing it. Children use these materials and don’t pay any attention to the
differences. Different diversity materials can be hard to spot off right away but when you
try to notice them, they seem to be everywhere. My work sample shows my
understanding of the importance of knowing about and understanding diverse family
and community characteristics that have an impact on children’s development and
learning by because there is more than just one example of diversity and it shows that it
is something that the children can use and is also something that I can reference too
when needed.
