What’s Included

This is a 1-week sampler of the Semester-Long: Critical Thinking – Analyzing Quotes.


Students will critically analyze the quote through a variety of activities for the week.
Students will gain reading comprehension and writing skills through application.
These activities are also great for discussion.

How to Use

1. Bell Ringer: Assign the quote at the beginning of the week and
complete the first activity. Complete 1 activity each day and discuss the
quote as a class on the last day.
2. Classwork: Have students work independently or with a partner to
analyze the quote by completing one activity each day. Afterwards,
discuss/share answers as a class.
3. Homework: Assign students a different activity for the quote each
night.
4. Station Work: Have students work in small groups at a station to
analyze the quote and complete all of the activities.
