Every individual has its own unique qualities. One sole of genetic makeup

STEM2-S1-E, a section with a combination of students from STEM-S1-E

and F. A lot of hearsays about these sections however never discontinued me to
discover a new-fangled group which I am looking forward to. From the day of
orientation; discussion of house rules and how it will be implemented is significant
to be heard by them, from filling in homeroom profile, election of homeroom class
officers and explaining objectives, purposes and significance of having an hour
gathering for such reasons. In the latter, it might take time for them to realize whys
and wherefores.

At first hand, I could never imagine handling outnumbered female students

wherein boys are dominant over them barely experiencing a very challenging
advising class. I strongly carried out “daily monitoring sheet” serves as attendance
every subject classes with a signature of their subject teacher and every end of
the month, I’m summarizing it and having reports for those who needs to call the
attention of their parents/guardian to find out why absenteeism’s/lates are
rampant among them, they admitted of having an early schedule caused to be
not on time since causes are every day traffic and etc, however it should never be
that shallow reasons to ceased them and remind that “punctuality is a signs of
one’s character”, indeed if it’s something which will never be improved to their
part it will become a habit.

Every month, our secretary and assistant secretary interchangeably had a

schedule of every month of observing everyone’s presence, I did a close
monitoring since I found out of 40, and there are 2 identified students who were
always on the list of frequent absences, as a role of an adviser, I hurriedly asked
any immediate family member/guardian or anyone who were concern about the
status of these students. I’ll be able to had communication and did informed their
academic performance and accordingly follow up them thru a conference among
subject teachers and given them an intervention for them to cope such missed
requirements to be passed.

On the other hand, this section never fails me to be proud of. Past months
were bunches of activities and they were actively participating. Recently, as part
of their ILs in PE, they’ve won as 1 st Runner Up, first competition as a section, all
their hardships paid off.

 As an adviser, we are held accountable with huge responsibility to
empowered, encouraged, motivate and mentor them to their fullest. As I truly
believed for every gem it will be considered as precious. For every student
something must be unveiled to one’s capabilities, talents and skills. As the
semester ends, change which not abrupt yet it will be a daily expectation of
change in behaviour as it is signifies that learning takes place.

Progression, process of developing over a period of time, it will be

continuous and connected series of actions to take and students must be willing to
take as school as one of the stakeholders with the aid of their parent and a role to
play by the institution to mold, aid and serve to the fulfilment thru excellency and
quality education, for them to prepared in their future endeavours.
