Introduction

They say a pyramid, though you will invert it, it will still be not proportion or unequal.

Just how it implies, the word discrimination in any angle, will never be good and will

never be right. Nowadays, whatever aspect it is, there is a rampant spread of inequality,

discrimination, and prejudice. It is prevalent in our setting today, be it in education,

employment, government, even in our justice.

It is makes me sad whenever I see this, but right now I do not have the ability and power

to go against those who do discrimination. Right now, all I can do is at least support

them, sympathy is what I can thoroughly give to the people who experienced being

biased, being discriminated, and judged by the standards of society.

If we can see to the different news that were being flashed in our televisions, that some or

most of our coutrymen are encountering this issue. The question right now is, how can

we end or at least lessen this certain problem in our society, locality, or even in our

country?

Body

One of the evident discrimination of people today, is in the economic or social status of

an individual. In terms of education, if you are regarded as poor or a low class individual,

they will treat you poorly, rudely, and sometimes, immorally; but if you will look at it,
status in life should not be a basis on how you will receive treatment to people, because

just like them, you are breathing the same air, eating the same food, drinking the same

water, and you are looking to the same stars and moon every night, so why is there a need

for discrimination if we can be fairly treating everyone?

On the other hand, in the aspect of employment, in relation to education, if you are

having an application for a certain position and you are undergraduate or you had only

finished some units of education because of financial instability, some of the employers

will not hire them. Employment is a job, it is a work that needs a skill, ability, certain

knowledge in the field, and a good attitude. It is not proclaimed in the constitution that

when you enter a workplace you should not be coming from a low class family or from

the poor household. Instead, it was declared that when you are a professional or even just

a working employee, you should be ethically doing your work and frequently showing

professionalism in every action that you depict. This only shows that social status will not

define you as a person and as an individual, it will instead motivate you to strive harder

than in life in order to uplift the standard of living. That is why more and most of the

professionals and successful ones are coming from the poorest or if not, at least in the

middle class family because they want more for their family.

Moreover, in terms of fair search for justice, in whatever case you are into, if you

struggling financially, you cannot hire the best lawyer (or if in case, though you have the

public attorney, you cannot assure the result of the filing of your complaint). And those
who have the money and power will still have the control over the circumstances of the

proceedings and hearing procedures.

Over all, the picture says that discrimination will still be present if the hold on the power

and control are into a person and into position. That is why more and more individuals

are fighting for the prestige to own a position and power. I am not condemning all of the

people behind the positions and power, but I just saying that they should and must use

their advantage for the sake of all constituents.

Conclusion

A pyramid though inverted, will still depict inequal distribution of the parts. What we

need is something that we can hold on to so that we can assure the equality be received

by all of us, something that will ensure that even the most unfortunate ones will take

something beneficial in their lives.

A square is a shape that has four sides and it had the same length and angles, which

means that everything is equally and impartially. I am not pertaing to shapes though, I

just wanted to portray something that is easily absorbed by the minds and by the hearts of

many people. Everything will be set straight if we just work on it very well. If what we
want is a fair and just society, then let us all be part of it, before the success comes, hard

work is a requirement.

The real point of this article is for us to be knowledgeable, be aware, be open minded on

the issues of today (though even in the earlier years, it was also a problem in our society,

even in our country). We are possessing wisdom, knowledge, and our abilities and skills,

we should use them to impart something, to leave something, the legacy that will marked

our names and identity.

Above all this discussion, we need to be aware, be open minded, not only to the world's

happenings but also to the lives of our fellow people. Discrimination will still remain if

we chose to, but if we pursue to remove it, it will probably be.
