Guidelines on How to Write a Simplified Synthesis Essay

1. Pick 3-5 topics ( e.g., the videos shared in the group chat or class discussions).
2. List down at least two striking facts or new points covered for each topic/visual
art form.
3. Explain how these points are backed up by some literature (You can bring in
other materials or readings to support these points.).
4. Elucidate how these points help you understand the many facets or aspects of
arts or what arts truly are, especially those that you now encounter either
directly or indirectly.
5. Conclude with some insights learned or realizations arrived at from those
materials and recommend some ways forward to guide and encourage other
students how to understand and appreciate arts.

Note: To write a complete essay, make a good, fitting introduction. Cover a preview in
this first main part.
