Exception List acc. to API 671 .

The following issues of the RIGIFLEX-N couplings are different to the API 671
specifications (4th edition):

1. Screws and nuts

Standard parts like screws, nuts etc. are supplied according to DIN ISO Standards
(metric dimensions, not self-securing).

2. Production quality
The standard production quality of the hub bores meets RZ 6,3 (IT 7) / Ra 1,6 (unless
otherwise specified).

3. Hub bores, feather keys and keyways

The hub bores to absorb shafts are made in tolerance H7 (unless otherwise specified by
the customer).
Feather keys and keyways meet DIN 6885 sheet 1 (hub keyway – tolerance JS9), unless
otherwise specified by the customer.

4. Hub pull-off threads

Pull-off threads in the hubs are made on customer request.

5. Material specifications
The materials used meet the valid DIN ISO Standards and not the US Standards as
requested in API 671. Below please find a comparison to the US Standards:

6. Balancing
The customer needs to indicate the balancing quality required. The standard balancing
quality is G6.3 as a balancing of a single part (unless otherwise specified).

7. Material certificates, test certificates, tests etc.

Couplings are supplied without any material certificates or other test certificates or tests
(unless otherwise specified by the customer).
