Q1. A company makes two kinds of Cotton shirts. Shirt A is a high quality shirt and Shirt B is of a
lower quality. The respective profit are Rs 200 and Rs 105 per shirt. Each shirt of type A requires as
much time as shirt of type B, and if all shirts were of type B, the company could make 1,000 per day.
The supply of cloth is sufficient for only 800 shirts per day (both A and B combined). Shirt A requires
fancy buttons set and only 400 sets per day are available. There are only 700 buttons set a day
available for shirt B. Formulate this problem as an LPP.

Q4. A steel company has three open hearth furnaces and four rolling mills. The transportation costs
(Rupees per quintal) for shipping steel from furnaces to rolling mills are given in the following table:
