Non-Destructive examination using VT, PT, MT, UT & RT methods. Review results with standards/
specifications and prepare report
Prepare procedures like Visual Inspection on weld, Liquid penetrant exam, Storage & handling of welding
consumables, etc., related to welding and NDT
Knowledge on destructive testing methods Tensile, Bend, Impact, Hardness, Macro, Micro, IGC
Knowledge on final valve inspection, shell, hydro, plug seat tightness, seat leakage testing.
Exposure to special testings like Cv, Cyrogenic, Fugetive Emission testing
Coordinate with TPIs like TUV, BV, Lloyds for testing witness at factory & laboratory
MTC review & approve for casting, forged, pipe components
Prepare & Review ITP and Customer specifications
Organize calibration of all measuring, welding equipment, pressure gauges and maintain calibration
reports
Knowledge on surface treatment techniques like Nitriding, Chrome plating, Boronizing, Nickel plating
Welding consumable & spares stock maintenance and prepare purchase indents
Organize PWHT cycles for welded and casting / forging materials in furnace/ electrical resistance coil
heating method and prepare reports for the same
Co-ordinate with welders in doing Kaizens & implementing 5S in weld shop
Experienced in preparing routings in Oracle & SAP
Worked as a superuser in implemention of SAP (ERP system) at site
