Boarding Schools Are Better Than Day Schools

Boarding school leads to a better learning environment for the students, but day

school can also be competent enough to provide a good learning environment. Both

types of schools play great importance and have its own advantage. There are a

number of benefits of boarding school such as attention to students, facilities and

academic qualities. With this,I strongly say ‘boarding schools are better than day

schools’.

Boarding school allows teachers to concentrate on their students. This is

because boarding school has a low student-teacher ratio. Due to this, students are able

to converge among themselves and with their teachers. Teachers would be able to give

attention and focus to students individually in order to develop their individual potential

holistically. On the contrary, the day school consists of large class sizes and huge

amount of students in each class. Thus, the teacher could only focus on a whole class

teaching rather than individual teaching.

The facilities and academic qualities of a boarding school deemed to beat the

day school. The amenities provided in a boarding school are more advanced compared

to the day school. For instance, facilities such as the library, theater facilities, or athletic

complexes are beyond the basic facilities which are available in an ordinary school.

Furthermore, the academic quality level of a boarding school is higher than an ordinary

school since the academic studies in the boarding school are merged with other

activities, such as sports and arts. Therefore, the academic level of boarding school is

increased wholly for the reason of integrated activities.

Nevertheless, day school could not be disregarded. Students in a day school are

not separated from their parents and they could be able to carry out many outdoor

activities without even leaving home. Besides, parents could have more time with their

children at home. Whereas, when the parents send their children to boarding schools,

they would worry day and night about their children. Moreover, day school also has the

competence of providing advanced facilities and academic qualities as equal as a

boarding school.

In conclusion, although day school is regard as being equal as a boarding

school, however a boarding school comprises more benefits than to be attained from a

day school. Hence, boarding schools are capable of producing a wholly developed

generation including physically, intellectually, emotionally, and also socially.
