I wanted to work in KATEE to enhance my skills in the engineering business field and to
further improve my employability skills for the future. The period of internship in KATEE
between May to August suited my schedule as it fits my university schedule. I believe that I
am appropriate for this position as I have previous work experiences in multiple companies.
Chemical engineers are involved in sales in the example of a pharmaceutical industry. The
selling of medicine is important and therefore the company must come up with advertising
strategies such as sales and listing the unique chemicals in the medicine. For that, a chemical
engineer is required to provide the information on the chemicals required to produce the
medicine.
2. I feel my knowledge, skills and abilities will offer a well-rounded approach to this position. I
also believe that my communication and team work skills are adequate for the job. If I am
offered this position, I will be ready to hit the ground running and help KATEE exceed its own
expectations for success.
3. I have work experience in multiple companies such as Halliburton, Petrofac and have
assisted in many group projects.
4. The biggest problem that I have encountered is making a group work cohesive and make
sure that everyone in my group is up to date in their required task. This involves contacting
my colleagues every day to ensure that they are up to date and assist anyone who is behind
in a task, such that all deadlines are met, which is important in a fast-moving industry.
5. Selling the first door on the left-hand side. I would start of by stating the importance of fast
delivery and installation service, which would make the customers happy. Then I would
specify a long warranty date such that the customers would feel more secure to buy the
product. Also, the available dimensions of the door should be stated such that the
customers have an idea of the size of the door and check for themselves if the door is suited
for them. This will avoid any miscommunication between the seller and buyer. Finally, I
would state the unique properties of the door, which competitors don’t have such as sound
proof, resistant to wind pressure, heat insulation and also remote controlled.
