Plorp the Pig

*Designed by Charlyn Smith of The Cheerful Chameleon*

Pattern Info
*difficulty, gauge, size*
Plorp is an intermediate skill level pattern that has
several shaping sections, and assembly that may cause
confusion to the beginner crocheter. While I have tried
to make it as easy to follow as possible, some previous
crochet knowledge is required to complete.
Gauge is not important to this project. The main sizing
concern is to use a hook and yarn combo that creates
a tight enough fabric that does not have holes between
stitches for stuffing to poke through.
If made with same yarn and hook, Plorp will be approx
6” high when completed.
This pattern was created for Craftyminergal of her
Twitch channel emotes. Artwork inspiration used with
permission and belongs to Activate Angel Check out

Yarn & Hook Needed

*DK weight & 2.75mm hook for pig, Aran(WW) yarn & 4mm hook for stuffed heart*
I use Paintbox Yarn Cotton DK which is a DK weight 3 yarn in the following colorways for the pig. The Heart is
made with Paintbox Yarn Cotton Aran:
aa Body Color: Candyfloss pink (color 149) 50g (135 yards) 1 ball *depending on tension you may want a second
ball as this will use all of the first with little to none left over
aa Accent Color: Blush Pink (color 153) 10g ( approx 30 yards) 1 ball
aa Heart Color: Kingfisher Blue (color 635) Yardage will vary on heart version, however 1 ball is plenty for either
Cheeks: Use a small amount of a different pink yarn, blush, paint, or by needlefelting on.
If not using Safety eyes, you will need a small amount of black and white yarn.
aa Crochet Hook Used: 2.75mm (C) & 4mm (G) Clover Amour
aa Fiberfill (stuffing material)
aa Cardboard or other thick material for wrapped yarn heart center.
aa Pins, stitch marker, scissors & a yarn needle.
*Optional* 14mm safety eyes. I get mine from glasseyesonline
*Optional* If you wish to needlefelt the eye accents and cheeks on you will need a needlefelting needle. I use these
from Purple Moose Felting on Etsy. You can use roving or yarn pieces for the small amount in this pattern.
