POST ACTIVITY REPORT

I. IDENTIFYING INFORMATION
Activity Title: 4-DAY CAPACITY BUIILDING OF SCHOOLS ON STANDARDIZED
DRRM MODULES AND SDRRM MANUAL
Program In-Charged: Josephine L. Dignadice
Venue: Paraiso Verde Hotel, Koronadal City
Date: November 5-8, 2019

II. RATIONALE:

The education sector is one of the most vulnerable sectors during emergencies. It
is among those that often suffer the impacts of disasters brought about by natural
and human-induced hazards. To enable focused, effective and strategic
implementation, DepEd has been building the resilience of education by
advancing school safety and is very diligent in ensuring that schools have a
functioning disaster management team.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To understand the Basic Life Support, Information Protocol, Student-Led and
School Watching Hazard and the priorities of action in establishing Safe
Learning Facilities, School Disaster Management, And Risk Reduction and
Resilience in Education
2. To adopt and utilize existing DepEd tools in strengthening school disaster
management efforts
3. To internalize the risk reduction measures
4. To formulate Classroom Safety Plan to protect learners

ACTUAL COST: Php. 422, 000.00

III. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY:


 The activity was attended by 59 Teacher participants.
 The workshop was facilitated by SEPS Rik Domingo Shaun N. Balindua,
SDRRM Coordinators, DOH Personnel, Technical Working Group, and SFA
Facilitators
 The activity was spearheaded by Project Development Officer II, Josephine L.
Dignadice.
 Online Survey was done every afternoon at the end of the activity.
 Attached is the Graph result of the online evaluation of the participants.

IV. ISSUES AND CONCERNS:
 One participant suggested that there must be an icebreaker to maintain the
energy.
 The speaker should have modulated voice and happy to share with us their
knowledge
 The module content is bulky, it’s difficult to digest in the short period of time
 During the second day in the female section of the comfort room, the floor
was extremely wet and slippery
 One participant highlighted that sometimes words were not clear maybe
because of the speed in speaking.
 During the change of venue, the participants feel not relaxing.

V. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Based on the QATAME Survey and the HRD Monitoring results, the program
was conducted and implemented successfully. First, the participants strongly
agree on the program was delivered as planned by Program Management.
Secondly, the program objectives were clearly presented as participants strongly
agree on the Attainment of Objectives. Lastly, the participants strongly agree on
the venue was well lighted and had sanitary and hygienic conditions on the
Venue and Accommodation. On the other hand, there were still some rooms for
improvement as to participants disagree on clear manifestation of expected in
activities of the program.
Additionally, it is recommended that the Program management should
maintain the delivery of the program with well-lighted and good hygienic condition
of the venue. In addition, the activities of the program should be well plan so that
the participants will have a clear direction and satisfied at the end of the program.
Moreover, in terms of issues and concerns during the conduct of the program
where icebreakers, modulated voice from the speaker and other related factors
concerning the facilitation of the program were already addressed to the program
holder of the training or program. Furthermore, the issues concerning the
accommodation, comfort rooms and facilities of the venue were already brought
out to the program holder during the post conference for immediate action.
