II.1

Dina Tuto seeks the reconsideration of the denial of the Supreme Court of her Petition to take the 2014 Bar Examination
based on the fact that she does not possess the requisite law degree. She alleges that the Court may have overlooked the
fact that she holds a degree of Juris Doctor granted by Harvard University where she finished Summa Cum Laude and first
in her class.

Further, she cites the case “Re: Application of Adriano M. Hernandez to take the 1993 Bar Examination”(Sept. 6, 1993)
wherein the Court allowed Mr. Hernandez to take the bar examination. In her MR she states that Mr. Hernandez, too, was
a graduate of a foreign law school (Columbia Law School) and he only finished second in his class whereas she was the
class valedictorian.

Decide.

II.2

Ms. Natty Gok, a rich spinster, executed a will stating that, upon her demise, her billion-dollar estate shall be inherited by
her neice or nephew who has a “titulo de abogado”. At the time of her death she had a niece and a nephew from her older
sister namely Malou and Nilo Kho.

While “Aunty Natty” was still alive, Malou passed the bar exam but was unable to take her oath because she had to
accompany Aunty Natty to Canada for her medical treatment. They both became naturalized Canadians in order to avail
of health care benefits afforded by Canada to its citizens. Nilo on the other hand stayed in the Philippines to take care of
Aunty Natty’s mansions. He too passed the bar prior to Aunty’s death but he had been suspended indefinitely by the
Supreme Court for failure to comply with the MCLE requirements.

Under the aforementioned circumstances, who would inherit Natty Gok’s empire?
